  1. A Soho staple! $6 for a large ($5 for a small) fresh, piping hot soup and a large chunk of fresh baguette will leave anyone happy. The line runs long during the cold and rainy days but it moves fast. I typically do a chicken & veg soup or half&half veggie/beef chili (my own creation for less calories and optimal deliciousness).

You can sample anything and they also have sandwiches.

There are 2 rotating soup ladies. It's possible they could be sisters, but they're both very efficient and sweet.

  2. EXCELLENT clam chowder, and at a really good price too! $6 for small chowder and a fresh baguette made my day. It would be nice if the kiosk had to-go cups for tabasco for those of us who don't want to hold up the line by fishing out the soup container and trying to garnish it right there and then. Overall, an excellent find in SoHo and great for lunch!

  3. I dropped by here when i was in the area, on a cold day and coming down with some kind of "suck the life out of me" bug. The vegetable chili was really tasty and I got a $1 cup of rice to make it more substantial but really I could've done without it. The chill was vegan so I was quite pleased (no dairy when you're sick) so all in all it was a good visit. I did wait about 8min in a line but it's ok I understand soups are popular when it's under 50 degrees.

  4. $6.50 for a Morrocan Chilli, it was sure filled with goodness. Tons of chunky veggies and big pieces of beef sure filled a stomach like mine. Oh and she gives tons of crackers, I had 4 packs. Filling, quick, and delicious!
