  1. 3.5-4 stars. This is a very cool space: art gallery doubling as coffee shop/study spot. It's a very calming spot and they have a variety of lattes, teas, and even shaved ice. There isn't a tremendous amount of seating but enough to feel non-claustrophobic yet still cozy at the same time.

I tried the green latte unsweetened (which was probably a mistake) and it wasn't the best drink I've ever had, but I also tried the mocha and it was light and delicious. I think things can be a hit or miss.

It's a bit too quiet here for my taste and it can get rather hot, but overall seems like a good place for getting some work done.

  2. This place is adorable. Reminds me of a cafe you would find in Garosu-gil, an ultra-trendy neighborhood in Korea known for its hipster cafes, fashion, and art. The fact that this cafe serves as the store front for an art gallery lends an instant cool-factor to your coffee-drinking experience.
The place itself is long and narrow, with the espresso machines propped up in the window front, and you can watch Kanu flit back and forth to his small podium while he makes your drink. A great environment if you don't mind sitting on low benches and working on your computer off your lap, as the wi-fi is free and the music is good.
A nice place to work the night away, or even get to know Kanu as he is super approachable and takes immense pride in his work.

Unfortunately, they seem to be closed on Sundays.

  3. I used to walk by here to work all the time, and always used to wonder about the name of the place. After visiting, I finally know why it is named the way it is. Space Gabi is literally a space that can be rented for whatever you'd like. There are half day/full day and weekend/weekday prices, and plenty of pictures on the walls which show examples of ways in which the space can be used: pop-up shops, music venues, etc. etc.

It also makes for a great study spot or just a place to rest your feet. There are plenty of small, intimate tables, as well as bench-type seating along the entire length of one wall.

There also happens to be a coffee stand in the space! Their coffee is actually really expensive, at $4 for a tiny, tiny latte. It was good, but nothing spectacular and definitely not worth how much I paid for it. I guess you can say you're paying for the ambiance though. Definitely a very hipster vibe.

    Free wifi is a plus!

  4. Every time I come here the art and design is new

Always something interesting to see.  The coffee and tea is amazing and the people there are so friendly.

  5. I am here for the sweet potato latte. It is so good. I ordered the green tea latte and it was great but tasted some of my friends sweet potato one. Amazing. I'm definitely going back for it again and again. In a city full of packed coffee shops, it was such a treat to find this place. We actually found seats and a table to get some work done. It's pretty quiet with good music. Plus, free wifi and plenty of outlets to plug in. The best part is its unique art installations. So, if you are looking for great coffee and tea work space with a twist, you've found it here.

  6. Such a cute coffee shop with delicious coffee.
I always get their latte and have always been satisfied.
