I ordered delivery from this restaurant for my mom and myself and we were not disappointed! While the food took a little over an hour to arrive, it was well worth the wait. The top two dishes I'd like to point out are the samosas and the Chinese bhel. Bursting with flavor and accompanied by all the right chutneys, these two are definitely the reason we'll be ordering from here again. The person who delivered our order was very sweet and apologized for the delay. Luckily I wasn't too hungry, so the 1+ hour wait was not that bad.
Really delicious fresh juicy Tandoori chicken, accompanied with basmati rice and sauces. Very good salad with spicy shrimp avocado, Mandarin oranges, and top drawer garlic naan.
**They have take-out and delivery.**
**Will be back very soon. **
The food gets a 3.
The waitress gets a 0.
I wanted to like this place; I really did, especially with all the good reviews but it was just not what I expected.
Came here on a Saturday evening and we had reservations for 8:00pm. We waited about 5 minutes for the table which was not bad at all.
Ambiance: Small and simple. It is nice that they have coat check in the back although I realize that they have no way of verifying your coat is your coat (they do not give you a ticket)…then again, who goes to restaurant to steal coats? Lol They only have one bathroom so that can be kind of annoying.
Service: The host was friendly but our waitress really killed the experience. She sounded annoyed and acted like she was doing us a favor. When I asked her about what teas they had, she failed to add that the Indian tea came with milk (I do not drink my tea with milk).
Food: I love Chinese food and I love Indian food, so I figured a mixture of two would be amazing. I guess not. My chicken biryani tasted different, not bad per se, but not good. I believe they overdid it with the ginger. My friend had the chicken and broccoli and it was mediocre. The garlic naan and chicken lettuce wraps were good.
I guess from now on I will stick to either Chinese or Indian.
The owner, Jude, reached out shortly after my initial review to ask for details, apologize, and refund my seamless order, all of which were appreciated. I obviously can't provide Spice Symphony a full-throated endorsement given the obvious safety issues involved, but the owner appeared committed to finding out why/how it happened and making sure it didn't happen again. (And again, to be clear, I thought the food was really quite tasty!)
This place was recommended by one of my colleagues. I have been to lex indian hill area multiple times but never caught sight of this little place. You hv to look for it. They have smaller menu but all preparations are decent. Must try their chinese bhel! Less oily indo chinese options. Malai kofta and paneer were both delicious. Decor and prices reasonable. Must try!
Solid IndianChinese fusion
I really enjoy their lunch special. Just like the matrix, you can choose the Indian route or the Chinese route (that was the movie right?)

I was pleasantly surprised by the soup. Rich sweet butternut flavor balanced nicely with spices, but a little heavy so I couldn't finish it. The Hot n Sour soup is also great, very good at clearing your sinuses!
ENTREE
The Chicken Tikka came with 3-4 hearty pieces of white chicken, very juicy. For me, the curry was a tad too sweet, but the generous portion of curry can be sopped up with the wonderful fluffy naan that comes out ultra warm. That combo is delicious. The rice was decent basmati, little sticky, but the dal Makhani (the dark brown lentil curry – see pictures) was phenomenal. Mix the rice, dal and chicken tikka all together in one bite and I'm immediately transported to my childhood.
I have tried the Lamb Rogan Josh once and I was little disappointed because it was heavily tomato-based. The lamb was very flavorful and slightly gamy, but the tomato flavor in the curry is overwhelming and it reminded me of the curry from the Chicken Tikka, which is not good because it implies they use a similar (if not same) tomato base for both curries. It's not a sin to use tomato in Rogan Josh but it should not be that tomato forward so that it overwhelms the aromatic spices and dried red Kashmiri chilies (traditional recipe).
DESSERT
I am a stickler for Rasmalai; If it's bad, I will not eat it. The Rasmalai is made in house, fresh. The result? Very soft, supple, brilliant. It's up there in the top rasmalai I've ever had. The cardamom infused creamy milk is one of my favorite flavor combos of all time. The Kheer Rice Pudding is really good too.
They also have a Vegetarian Indian option; with tax+tip, really good lunch for $12-$13

For the Chinese route, I had the Chili Lamb the other day and it was soy-sauce forward, way too much soy, and I only got 5-6 pieces of small lamb. I'm not sure if I would trust the Chinese dishes served here.
Recommended: Chicken Tikka, Naan, Dahl, Rasmalai
Ordered in for girls night, and we were not disappointed. The food arrived in 20 minutes and was hot and fresh to order. I had the garlic naan and chicken tikka Masala which was enough to feed two! It was spicy, tender and very delicious!! The left overs the next day were equally as good! I can't wait to order again soon!!!
Great lunch special!
$10 lunch special that includes rice and naan. And the naan is huge so you can make it two meals if you wanted to. I wasn't a fan of the lentils though. The chicken tikka masala was good and not overly sweet like at other places.
