I came here on a Tuesday night. I didn't play ping pong though but it looked pretty cool. The environment is pretty chill and there's a bar. I went to the bar and ordered drinks. I got a tequila sunrise. It was pretty strong. As for the bar tender, he was pretty nice. He allowed us to order Jameson shots even though the bar was suppose to be closed.
Such a random spot! Cool environment, cool cocktails, decently-priced beers… Best of all- the ping pong experience! It was cool watching everyone enjoying their time, plus the cool artwork gave it edge. This place reminds me of a chill man cave. Only thing I didn't particularly like was the Amish Wings. They lacked a bit of flavor. Nonetheless, this is seriously THE place to be.
FUN!
Came here on a calm day so it wasn't too wild, mostly families and some serious players practicing their technique. I hold no such techniques to practice but laughed way more than I had anticipated! The plan that day was to go work out but due to change in plans ended up coming here. I like to think it counted as a work out, mostly because I jumped around more than necessary and all that laughing must have worked some muscles!
The art work inside caught my attention. It's a cool place to hang out with friends.
Love this ping pong sports bar! Be sure to make reservations on the weekends because it gets busy.
Space – Clean and open space with beautiful wall art. You don't even have to pick up your own ping pong balls!
Service – Waitress was super awesome and very attentive.
Chips and Guacamole – Most beautiful presentation of chips and guacamole I've ever seen. The addition of avocado ice cream was fantastic.
Truffled French Fries – YUM! The French fries were thin and crisp, and tossed perfectly. We finished these in 5 minutes and had to order a second serving.
Amish Chicken Wings – The skin looked a little dry, but the chicken was moist and tender when I took my first bite.
If you're only looking to get one appetizer, go with the French fries. Pairs well with a gin and tonic.
Pretty cool concept. They have more or less 19 ping pong tables that you can rent by the hour. They have people picking the balls with this scooper thing so you don't have to worry about running out of balls.
Booked a table for an hr (was about an hr wait on a sat night but they text you so you can chill by the bar or bleachers till they contact you). I think it was around $49 for an hour for one table but we had 6 people so it wasn't too bad. I don't think people play more than 2 hrs but it's fun the first hour.
There's a bar in the back with average NYC drink prices ($7-9).
There was a live DJ but it wasn't too loud I could see hear people talk. Great spot to come and chill/catch up with friends.
It's one of my new favorite place in the city. It's a fun place to be if you want to start or end your night.
I went here during weekday, and didn't realize that after 10 am it has a cheaper rate if you want to get the ping pong table.
What's awesome about this place is the fact that they have food, booze, ping pong table and great music.
The only downside is the growler cost is kinda expensive. However, the atmosphere and the ping pong table are more than enough reason.
I came here for a tour but did not play. Great for kids and they also serve food and drinks. There were some serious players here. The tour included a peak at their private room which you can rent out and was very cool.
Holy crap. Like whoa. So let me preface this by saying that I had never before been to a place like this; consequently I was very impressed. The staff was very friendly, and despite being quite busy, the service was fast. Minus one star because the nachos we ordered (a "deconstructed" version) were weird. Weird in presentation but pretty decent in flavor. Drinks: good. People watching: worth the trip. In addition, that particular night there was live music AND a competition between two incredibly good players. Gosh, I'd never seen anything like that- I would come back to SPiN just to see the one girl play again. If you've never seen high level players compete, I'd definitely recommend going out of your way for this place. Otherwise, great for a drink and people watching. Otherwise, great for a good, clean game of table tennis!
