  1. On point. If there is a list of everything a diner can do to make it a great place, Squires Diner does it. First off, the service is exceptional. Our server anticipated all of our needs and more. Second, the food is excellent. They really go beyond what is necessary when it comes to diner food. Third, the prices are excellent. $10.99 for an entree with soup or salad. $3.25 for a glass of wine. Check it out!!

  2. We were looking for a good, old fashioned diner for brunch and Squires fit the bill. Just a few blocks from the apartment we were visiting, it offered a full menu of items from breakfast, to lunch to dinner. Service was good, portion sizes were decent, except for this crazy little juice cup, and the price was right.

I am sure we will be back next time we visit.

  3. Very average place. Came here for lunch, so I may be biased as diners are breakfast foods in my book. The meat in the pastrami sandwich was decent, but the bread was soft and could have used some toasting. Should have gotten the fries instead of the soup. We just had to order fries on the side since everyone skipped the fries on the lunch special. Cake was a bit stale, but reminds me of every other Diner cake.

Pro tip: don't get the side salad if you get the Gyro. There's already a salad built into the Gyro.

I'll come back again for breakfast, just to see what it's like.

  4. This is a fabulous diner. Found a little bit off the Main Street, this place has always satisfied my cravings. The staff members here are very hospitable. They have a tv (can't miss those World Cup games!), a little bar to eat at, as well as tables and booths. I've had both breakfast and lunch here. The California Wrap is pretty good as is the Challah French Toast and their homefries. A great place to stop in if you're in the area!

  5. This diner is the go to spot for my family to meet up. It is right off of fulton street near the south street seaport – a little tucked away (behind fulton market). I usually get a spinach omlet. The serving sizes are VERYYY good! You get eggs, potatoes and toast for your meal. The service is very good and quick and the prices are very reasonable.

The bathroom is located in the basement and is a bit sketchy, but it is still a basic bathroom that can be used.

  6. This is not so much the "squire's diner" as the "everyman's diner." You will find no hipster frills here – just good food and spacious tables on which to eat. Very much your classic diner.

I marveled at the sheer number of items on the menu. Everything from quesadillas, to fish and chips, to a Reuben sandwich.

Their veggie burger game was strong. The patty held together well and I liked being able to see the individual peas and carrots (so I know that I'm eating real veggies). I also ordered a side salad, which was a simple plate of lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and cucumbers. Nothing to phone home about. The waiter brought me an entire bottle of dressing, which was nice because I could control how much dressing was on my salad.

  7. Good diner in the Seaport area, I wanted to check out this diner as it kinda reminded me of the diner on Seinfeld's.  We'll I had food envy the whole time, I ordered the WRONG thing.  The corned beef hash was not what I expected, no fault of the restaurant, so let's focus on what I wanted and others had.  The pancakes, the poached eggs, the omelettes, basically everything else I didn't have.
I would go back for sure next time in the area but I wouldn't order the hash.

  8. My Mom,Aunt and cousins all live in the Southbridge complex that Squires sits in so I have come here often and frankly usually argue to go elsewhere because I was never too impressed with the food but recently had a burger and it was much better than it used to be. They used to serve those pre-made pattys but the last burger I had was much bigger, fresher and cooked a nice medium rare (as all burgers should) so the juices soaked into the bun. The fries are decent diner fries and they have pretty inexpensive lunch and dinner specials especially for the area.
The service has always been fast and friendly and my nieces pic is on their kid wall.
