Situated in Hoboken, mixed in between bars and pubs, I am sure this place is a Godsend for those that go out drinking the night before because if you need to throw some food down your mouth to suck up all that alcohol, this is the place.
Pancakes, sandwiches and BBQ, oh my. Can't miss. Service can be a bit overwhelmed so don't expect to be in and out on a weekend. Enjoy your coffee ,complimentary corn bread and hopefully good convos while you wait.
Kate was a great waitress! She took really good care of us. I really appreciate that all the pancakes are available GF! There's definitely plenty to choose from for breakfast. The hash browns were also good. It was a little on the greasy side buy overall it was filling.
This is a great and affordable breakfast/brunch option in Hoboken! With family coming to visit with 2 young kids on a Sunday afternoon, I struggled to find a brunch place that was not a bar and kid-friendly. So happy I chose Stacks…it was a huge hit!
Stacks has a very large menu including various pancake, waffle, French toast and omelette options. They also have burger, sandwiches, soups, and salads if you're in the mood for lunch-food. This variety provides options for all eaters! Portions are huge, so you'll be sure to leave full and satisfied. Kids menu and friendly wait staff makes Stacks a great option for children.
Their Pancake Wraps seemed to be one of their most popular dishes! My aunt ordered the Washington and my uncle ordered the Hudson, and they both loved them. They were able to substitute hash browns for home fries, which were also delicious.
We came right at 12:30, and we were able to be seated within 10 minutes. It definitely gets crowded around lunch time, but the staff is very organized and friendly.
Free corn bread and BYOB are added bonuses! Will definitely be returning to Stacks soon!
I have been to Stacks several times for breakfast and have enjoyed it every time. It is on the smaller side, but what do you expect in Hoboken. It should be noted that this place can get busy very quick, especially on Sunday, so come early. Whenever i come here the wait time from order your food to getting it on the table is about 10-13 minutes, which is reasonable (Clearly it will take longer when busy). In addition, the prices are reasonable for the area. The quality of their breakfast is ok, not bad. I would definitely recommend Stacks to anyone in the area.
I would rate Stacks Pancake House & Cafe as follows: Food is 3 Stars, Service is 3.5 Stars, Price is 3.5 Stars and Wait time is 3.5 Stars.

This place was a solid 3 for me. The service was good. I've been here several times before, and the line can get rather long on the weekends, but we were sat right away this past weekend. Our waiter was busy, but he was attentive. The food itself was decent. I had whole wheat pancakes with blueberries. The blueberries on top were fresh, but I was hoping for more blueberries inside of the pancakes. The warm blueberries are what make the dish for me. I've never had a bad meal here, and I've had both breakfast and lunch dishes. I wouldn't wait an hour to eat here, but if the line is short, it's definitely a nice place to have brunch.
I thought this place was great! It's not at all fancy, but it's totally got a classic American Diner vibe. The coffee cake or corn bread they serve is really tasty, and a great way to kick off breakfast. And whoever came up with the idea to wrap an omelet in a giant pancake was genius! What a great concept that is totally delicious.
A solid hangover breakfast running around $10-15 a person. Hoboken steal. The space itself is small and tables are tight, but the service is prompt, the food comes out quickly, and food is actually good. Plates have larger portions and they offer a side of home fries or potatoes.
Something slightly better than a diner, with excellent customer service. Came here for breakfast around 1pm so it wasn't too crowded and loved our waitress who was very upbeat, friendly and attentive. Big part of the reason I'm giving 4 stars. Also, food was pretty good even if diner-like, it was what I was in the mood for.
Had scrambled eggs, bacon and silver dollar pancakes. They are generous with the portions as well as the cup of maple syrup for the pancakes- that's always a good sign for me. I recently heard they renovated so if you haven't been back in a few years I would give them another try.
