  1. I am traveling in NYC with my family from California. We visited the Statue of Liberty then walked up to Wall Street and planned to visit the 911 Memorial. My kids were starving and we wanted New York pizza. My husband searched Yelp and we found ourselves a block away from this amazing place.
The pizza place is upstairs. The place was very inviting, air conditioned and the hosts were awesome!
We arrived at 7:30 about 30 minutes to closing time but they made us feel welcomed and they did not hesitate to accomodate all of our requests!
We ordered two pizzas, a large pepperoni and a vegetarian Portobello and Olive pizza, two pitchers of beer and 5 desserts to go, cheesecake, red velvet, canoli, peanut butter brownie and m&m brownie.
We had been walking for hours and our appetite was voracious!
We were not disappointed! The pizza was perfection. The sauce was seasoned just right, cheese perfect and toppings were fresh.
On top of this delightful dinner the desserts were sinfully delicious. There were no complaints about any of our desserts. All 5 were perfect for our palates.
I recommend making this place a must stop if you're in the area of the 911 Memorial and Wall Street.
We give this venue our highest recommendation!
This review also includes commendations from my husband and 3 children. Each of our children agreed unanimously the pizza was perfect and the desserts were also. The service off the hook amazing. Thank you for a memorable dining experience.

  2. Not to be that person, buuuuut, a lot of these high ratings are coming from tourists. It's not BAD pizza, but I wouldn't send someone from out of town here expecting them to get an idea of what divine, perfect NYC pizza is like.

The toppings are fresh- their mushroom slice (the one with both portobello and white mushrooms) is hearty as hell. My main gripe is that the crust is completely limp. On a vegetable slice this make sense, but even the plain slice was weighed down with grease and enters your mouth with a mushiness that's just plain rude.

The deli is downstairs, the pizza is upstairs. During lunch time a line snakes down the narrow stairs, but if you're there for takeout just by-pass it and go right to the pizza counter. They have garlic, red pepper flakes, but seemingly no oregano.

  3. We were in the area visiting the World Trade Center Memorial and were hoping to try some New York style pizza. We stopped into Stage Door Pizza based on Yelp reviews. Stage Door Pizza has a deli downstairs and pizza parlor upstairs. You can order by the slice or whole pie. My husband and I shared a 10" Stage Door Specialty Pizza. It was pretty mediocre. I appreciate the location and the service, but was disappointed in the pizza.

  4. We ate at the Deli part and it was delish! Hard to find a table though so be willing to share.

  5. Stopped here because I was near the 9-11 Memorial and my visiting guest and the requested NYC pizza.  Searched Yelp and this was the highest rating for pizza.  Great place to grab a seat and take a load off while doing some sightseeing.

The pizza is awesome but the service was rather slow.  You aren't able to modify the toppings on the pizza.  The pizza is phenomenal and I am still dreaming about it.  There desserts didn't knock my socks off but they were not terrible.

  6. "What do you mean I have to wait another hour before tickets at the One World Observatory are available?!" Well, buy 'em and go grab a quick bite.

Great place for a quick, hot cheesy bite around the Freedom Tower or 9/11 Memorial.  That's definitely how they bank roll- what other places around town charge 1/2 as much for a slice, this place capitalizes on the tourism here.

Pizza here is satisfying and molten. Go get you some while you wait. Then go back to line and wait some more.

  7. Fine. Cheap. Decent service. This is a good joint to hit up when overpaying at the one world sites. But don't go there for "new York pizza"… It's just ok.

  8. (Full disclosure: I'm a tourist from TN. I hate chain pizza and Chattanooga is not the place for a good pie.)

NY pizza! Foldable. Hot. Cheesy. Creamy. Sturdy. Oily. Flavorful. Everything I want in a slice of pizza.

The establishment? Cozy. Casual. On the 2nd floor so sitting by the windows gives a nice view for people watching.

The service: friendly. Patient. All smiles.

    Loved it!
