  1. Fairly new burger place in Great Kills that has an extensive menu, and is obsessed with social media promotion.

The Good: Tasty shakes, good fries, and unique sandwich and side options. They offer wings, corn fritters, and fried mac and cheese, as well as a nice variety of fry fixings. Also, they have decent foursquare specials that you can take advantage of each time you dine-in. Checking-in with a few buddies got be a free order of fries or wings.

The Bad: The mac and cheese bites were practically flavorless, making it just…fried bites. My second trip here it was about 30 degrees outside, and 40 degrees inside Standard Burger. My friends and I were bundled in our coats and probably would have been better off taking advantage of their outdoor seating if, at the least, to avoid the horrible 90's playlist.

The Standard: Well, the burgers. Although it's a step above your local chain establishments, the patty is sub-par and the bun is terrible. For a restaurant with burger in it's name, they definitely need to step up their game!

As some have mentioned, Five Guys does have tastier food for a cheaper price but it is nice to dine here for more options as well as patronizing a small business. I'm not sure I will be rushing to return but if someone I know wishes to eat here I guess I won't complain…

  2. This place reminds me of a five guys. Same kind of ordering style, everything is separate orders from the burger to the fries and the drink which makes it cost more money, they have meals but its not really a difference in spending it buying each food item separate. The place is pretty big and clean and you can watch and see the cooks make your food. I wanted a milkshake but the machine was broken! THAT IS SO NOT COOL, I was in my burger and shake mood. The buns on the burgers could of been toasted or grilled more. The ketchup is very sweet which I don't like. The prices are expensive and its not different then five guys. Big ups to the parking lot cause the parking on that huge main avenue sucks big time and you will have no luck. I can see myself coming back here if I am around the way but the place is not such a big excitement.

  3. Not bad, but way too greasy for me. For the price, I expected a bit better.

  4. Another great experience at standard burger. Someone always greets you when walking in.  The place is super clean. Someone is always wiping down tables sweeping.  Food is fresh seasoned to perfection just perfect. The best thing theres always an owner there and they always come to check How everything is. If only every restaurant owner was that dedicated to their place every restaurant would be perfect like this one is well done!!

  5. AMAZEBALLS!

Life got in the way & I'm now writing this review.

The food was so good, didn't even get a chance to take a picture of mine or anyone else's.
There were 7 of us & none of us left disappointed.
A lot of us are picky eaters too, so that's saying a lot.
Between all of us, I think we ate everything on the menu.

I had to build my own burger because I don't eat red meat.
    (Don't give me that look)
I built a chicken burger on a potato roll with provolone, lettuce, & mayo with a side of standard fries. My drink of choice was a red velvet milkshake.

Ended up trying someone's yuca fries.
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum…. delicioso!

I liked the decor inside & the furniture for the outdoor seating area.
We sat outside because it was a nice day.

The staff was very nice & attentive, but that could've been because someone in our party brought up that they found out about the restaurant from the TV show "The Profit". I'm not complaining though.

Whenever I scroll past the pictures in my phone, makes me want to go back.
Yes, I will trek all the way back to Staten Island for this, it was well worth the drive.
