“I'm an out-of-towner who was looking for a place to fill up after walking the High Line.”

“Granted, I do not order coffee here (9th Street Espresso in Chelsea Market is the best in the zipcode, despite the attitude).”

“Regular spot for Saturday morning breakfast with my 6 year old.”

  1. Not impressed with the price for what the group of friends I was with had. We want in for a light snack and were fairly disappointed all our dishes.

The Mac and cheese on of the group had was overly oily and lacked enough macaroni for the amount of cheese served up.
The chips were dry and over cooked even the sweet potato lacked the flavour i have had at other places
The wrap one of the group had was tasty but the salad dressing they said put them off enjoying the side dish

    The price was excessive.
    All round disappointed

  2. This diner is around the corner from my office, so it's my go-to when I'm too lazy to go farther or when the weather is bad. The food is fine, nothing great but not bad, and the same can be said for service. Everything is overpriced, no question. Avoid fountain sodas here — they taste off.

  3. 3.5 stars
attributes:  Free Wi-Fi,  inexpensive, the only diner within an avenue or so. fast service,   FREQUENT refils of coffee and water and it's not some trendy wanna be cool spot.
the Eggs mykonos were pretty good, the home freis were not my cup of tea,  but my cup of tea was

  4. It's difficult to find simple fare non-expensive food in the area, but this diner can be a nice escape from the trendy restaurants nearby. I almost always order the french dip sandwich when I go to diners, and this time was no exception. It was good, the meat was moist and the dip was flavorful. The portion was large and came with a soup and fries. I had a try of my friend's pasta dish, which was also pretty yummy. The noodles were cooked soft, but I didn't mind that. I wasn't super impressed, but I enjoyed myself.

  5. 4.0 Stars for the breakfast sandwich & bacon
    2.8 Stars for everything else

Pretty basic diner with decent food, but I prefer other diner locations nearby – The Diner, New Venus & The Dish, for example.

The breakfast sandwich & bacon are outstanding which is the main reason I go there.

  6. This place is a breath of fresh air considering all the high class restaurants just down the block. This place must be a neighborhood staple because the prices are decent, and it got busy while sitting there. First glance it doesn't look very inviting, but it's a hidden gem. The food is more than decent diner food and I would come back when in the area again.

  7. A reasonably priced diner for Manhattan but I guess that 10th Ave is not the high rent district.  Very pretty place, updated decor, decent service, an extensive menu (it's a diner so I guess that it's the law).  So I had the corned beef hash and eggs which is my standard diner order for breakfast.  Nice enough overall but the coffee was so-so and the waitress did not offer a refill -not that I wanted one. I would go again but stick to tea or OJ.  Close to Chelsea Market.

  8. It's a diner.

Seriously, that's the best way to describe this place. It's a diner.

You're getting some decidedly average food and overly friendly servers. Wraps are my go-to in this situation, but I was a bit adventurous and ordered a steak and cheese wrap. Bad idea. The steak isn't separated properly, which results in overly large chunks of not particularly tender steak. Not a fan.

Service is super friendly though, and prices can't be beat. But really, there's not much more to it. It's a diner.
