  1. Warning: JANAE HAS A STANK ASS FACE ON ALL THE TIME AND EXTREMELY RUDE.

I always go to this Starbucks almost every day since I work in the Atlantic Terminal Mall. It was definately never close from pleasant compared to other Starbucks like the one in Bayridge by my house. The place is small, with homeless chilling inside in the morning and at night… Sometimes even lighting up their cigarettes in there. Lines are usually long, and their always short staffed which means it takes pretty long when you're in there to grab a coffee before work.

So all of those… Never really even bothered me… I just went to grab my breakfast and drink before work and I'm out. I never would sit in here. But until recently this place had just irked my Monday mornings even more. Constantly out of whip cream and since day 1 that Janae started working here, this was not my first encounter I noticed her rude attitude. She tries to be big boss and quick by handling the outside line herself, but really she makes it even more uncomfortable and extremely pushy/rushed for us who didn't get to the cash register yet. She always talks in an attitude tone with the most nastiest look on her face. The last strike threw me off was one day when she actually rolled her eyes at me THEN CLEARLY TALKED ABOUT ME in front of her co-worker as if I'm some idiot.

Will you still see me in here? I still will have to occasionally come in here when doing a big order for my company or when I really need my coffee fix. But for sure I'll address Janae's boss and corporate about it.

  2. Great Service! It is conveniently located in the Atlantic Avenue Terminal near the Long Island Railroad, Atlantic Avenue Mall etc in Brooklyn. I enjoy being able to get some tasty bagels and other treats from rhis one because they are fresh….

  3. Newly renovated Starbucks.

The line is no longer out the door, instead the registers are located more towards the back. The entire store was renovated recently and it looks a lot more cleaner than before. I cannot comment on the food/ drinks because they are a chain – the service here is welcoming. Staff members are very friendly. They are very kind and they have a great sense of humor. A very high volume store, so expect there to be lines during the morning and afternoon rush hours.

Welcome back to the summer menu, Peach Green Iced Tea Lemonade!

  4. Starbucks? Why would anyone review a generic chain like Starbucks? Welp first off I'm a caffeine junky, self-admitted and seeking help. In the meantime my favorite dealer of this stimulating treat (besides local coffee joints like Bedford hill, which I whole-heartedly adore), happens to be Starbucks. Is the coffee overpriced? Yes most definitely, but it' gets the job done in an overly familiar and extremely delicious way -and that's all that counts.  The selection of brewed drinks is the same as all of its twin stores throughout the world, hundreds of combinations, served up just how you ask by local baristas dressed in green and black. They've started adding in food choices that are more than just breakfast oriented, which is a nice touch (the "grilled" cheese is actually very good – even if it does come out of a microwave-like oven).

The renovation to this store however, absolutely had to happen. To start this place is smack in the middle of the biggest shopping mall in downtown Brooklyn, Atlantic Terminal. I mean SERISOULY busy, the volume of foot traffic that comes through this place is insane. So what was so wrong with the original set up of the old store? The counter was about two feet from the front door, and as a result there was zero room to wait for your cup. Not a great idea, considering the aforementioned food traffic, and as a result the line often pushed out into the busy corridors of the shopping center. Not exactly the most comfortable place to stand. The revamp fixed this, the counter is now in the back, and there's plenty of room to queue , all that's left is to think about what ridiculous combination of milk and espresso you're about to order (skinny non-fat soy vanilla mocha latte?). They did however give up some seating room to allow for this longer line, but that's OK, we're Brooklynites always on the move so sitting is not our number one concern (Target here we come). All that said the overall effect of the renovation is positive, the store setup looks great – now if you could only manage to get rid of the Oprah quotes on my coffee, we would be all set.

  5. I came here for a seasonal peppermint mocha latte (I had a coupon). The store is small, but they offer a wide variety of grab and go items for commuters. The staff is incredibly friendly. This is a great spot to meet if you have something in the area.

  6. You advertise for the new iced tea but don't have the ingredient for it on the first day?
    Wth?
    Then don't advertise for it.
No biggie, I just walked to the Starbucks inside Target and they were more than welcome plus they had the ingredients and no line!
I'll admit this place is a hit or miss depending on the attitudes of the workers and how they make the drinks.
    Sometimes the drinks taste off.
    Avoid this place if necessary!

  7. I think being a coffee bean counter, yes I have been drinking a lot of iced coffee lately. And not just any coffee, I need strong coffee.

Starbucks has a great blend and the flavor is strong and hits the spot. So my usual Iced Mocha Latte no whipped. Very good drink and this location reminds me of the NYC subway. Very unappealing in decor and is so small.

Thank God I don't come for the ambiance only the coffee!!

  8. Awesome new starbucks WITH a driver thru steps from my office. What could possibly be better than this?

I will give them a few days to work out their kinks before giving a complete review. This is absolutely awesome though and about time. Coffee in this neighborhood is sparse aside for Dunkin but umm.. it's Starbucks. Aint nothing better than that.
