I had a great experience at this Starbucks. I came here on a coffee run for a few co-workers and everything was perfect. Great service with a smile. No confusion on 4 different coffees. For the first time EVER, I noticed they had a man playing a song on a guitar. He sounded great!! I never put together if he was hired or if he was a customer, I was too amazed to ask. This I expect in Manhattan, not Fresh Meadows! I felt like I got a bonus w my coffee purchase. Will definitely be back to see if I run into guitar man again, lol!
Growing up in fresh meadows and schooling in fresh meadows, this has always been my go to Starbucks. There's nothing wrong with the coffee or baristas but it's way too small. The store can't accommodate many customers considering its in a district surrounded by schools (maybe that's the point.) The lines can get pretty long depending on the day and time. Warning that most of the baristas don't look happy to be there, but again it is retail.
I've passed by this Starbucks many times when I'm in the Fresh Meadows Shopping Complex. This Starbucks is quite spacious and there's a free parking lot as well.
My boyfriend and I did a mobile order on a Venti Iced Coffee, but rather than having a quick order, the wait was about 10 minutes. Other customers were frustrated at how slow and inconsistent it was as well. Our drink was finally made to order, but I really wasn't expecting a long wait especially since we made an advanced order. The baristas are quite slow at this Starbucks as well.
Although this Starbucks is very convenient, I feel the service isn't up to par. I've definitely been to a better Starbucks with exceptional service.
The slowest and most disorganized Starbucks I've ever been to. The average wait time for a single drink is about 5 minutes during off peak time. The set up is so awkward, so the line is always so long. There's never a place to sit since there's not enough seats for the amount of people that come here. I find that the baristas aren't as friendly either. I try to avoid coming here as much as possible and only come when I'm desperate for my fix. Your best bet is to put in a mobile order and hope for the best. The customers here are also possibly the rudest bunch of people I've ever encountered. Just stay away and drive a few miles down to be Little Neck location on Horace Harding. It's a less stressful environment.
This place is so small. It's great for a coffee to go when it's not crowded but don't expect to sit down and enjoy it here. Honestly I don't like coming to this Starbucks as much as other locations. Sometimes I actually forget that it's even here.
Parking is good in the free lot out back and there are several other stores nearby to do some shopping. The store itself is usually clean enough and the employees are decent but not overly friendly. I've never tried any of the food here because there are better places for food in the area.
Love the people. Love the coffee (depending who's on the bar, you know who you are *heart). Hate the lines. But life is not perfect and in this case you must wait if you want your coffee. I want to reiterate to everyone that reads this review. "Please wrap the line around the pastry case or else you will be blocking the door." It might seem simple but if everyone followed this rule the line would not only be shorter, you would probably get in and out much quicker.
The "dranks"
My winter time go to drink is a double tall two pump no foam no whip white mocha. Lol okay sometimes I get whip, but I deserve it ;). Re steaming milk is NEVER okay. Other times, I get iced double tall hazelnut soy lattes, iced coffees, or shaken iced teas. Never let baristas trick you by swirling. Swirling is lazy, if I wanted my tea swirled would swirl it myself. Teas should ALWAYS BE COLD and shaken!!
The food
A lot of people were upset and crying when they got rid of the old food and rolled out la Boulange. However, I believe it's one one the best things that has ever happened to Starbucks. The whole point of la Boulange was because corporate wanted to revamp the food portion of the company to make it just as good as the drinks. Those of you still upset saying, "oh no my reduced fat turkey bacon is gone," please get over it in all its processed glory and try something new. The new food is fresher and better. Try the new sandwiches, chocolate croissant, or one of the squares. Yum yum!
Shoutout to PK and the darker side of midnight (and everyone else of course)!
This location is always a busy zoo, but I like the big parking lot because it makes going here pretty easy. I don't know if it's bc it's Queens lol, but there are always plenty of weirdos at this location in comparison to the locations by me in Suffolk! This location seems dirty, limited seating, dirty bathroom, and busy, so I just get my coffee and get out of there! Come for an Americano with coconut milk and get a chocolate cake pop. The chocolate pop is only 140 calories! Yum! It's covered in milk chocolate and moist (such a strange word lol) with chocolate chips inside, soooo good!
Perks of this Starbucks are the free parking lot and various shops around this area. The drinks here are not consistent, sometimes the barista makes it good and sometimes not so good. Maybe it depends on the barista's mood? Not sure, but I come here just for the convenience of my coffee craving. I usually encounter long lines here, so this location is still kinda meh to me, but there is no other choice unless I go to a further location. Sigh. Oh wells, I'm still a Starbucks fan but just not this branch.
