Waldorf gives patrons complimentary breakfast tickets redeemable at their basement Starbucks- Juice, Coffee, Pastry Almost all people who come here are staying at the hotel and the staff are mostly expecting to take in your breakfast ticket rather than cash. If you're not staying at the hotel, go elsewhere, as the prices here are slightly steeper than at normal Starbucks. (-1 star)
The staff here is UNBELIEVABLY friendly, funny and sweet. They're super fast and really work the line well, as the line can go up the stairs and around the corner at times! (this is where they get all 5 stars for– friendliness makes a huge difference!)
I'd just say, the best thing on the pastry menu is the cheese danish– anything other than that doesnt really compare. Come early as those ALWAYS run out first. We stayed at the hotel for maybe a week and a half– pretty much every day we fought laziness to make sure we'd get a cheese danish. Everyday those danishes were sold out were days that started off on the wrong, wrong foot.
Practically no seating here– just 3 barstools available. (-1 star. cant i get at least 2 couches?? There were some poor, poor ladies in high heels already encumbered with prada, ferragmo and gucci shopping bags that needed to sit/rest whilst their husbands were getting their java!)
