  1. This Starbucks is off of Lexington Avenue it feels like every other Starbucks in the city it's not very big on the inside. There are chairs that you can sit down up against the window and look out onto the street. This is not a Starbucks that I would want to bring a computer and sit down and try to focus on work. This location does have a tendency to be crowded. Both times that I have come here I have gone around two to 3 o'clock in the afternoon and it was fairly empty just a few people sitting around. Good spot to grab some tea. Overall the Starbucks is your typical Starbucks there's nothing special about it service in the morning to slow.

  2. Quick review mostly just to remind myself.  Starbucks with relatively good customer service and that appear to be relatively empty most of the time.  Good study spot!  Maybe only seating for like 10 people total, but when everyone comes in here just grabs and drink and goes, it works.  Slight issue with there being no bathroom there.  oh well.

  3. This Starbucks shows that not all the Starbucks is the same!!!

I work in the area and tried many Starbucks in the zone (minimum 2 visits to Starbucks a day), this one is certainly the most efficient and friendly one I have ever been in NY.

Every morning, regardless the length of queue, you hardly need to wait for more than 7 minutes to get your drink and it normally takes less than that. The stuffs are super friendly and they truly work as a team, unlike some of the places where the stuffs don't co-operate at all.

What I like the most is that, if you visit them a few times a week, they tend to be able to remember what you normally order. It makes you feel like to come back again.

  4. It's really too bad there's neither much seating nor a bathroom, but the employees are just so friggin nice.

Case in point: during the holidays, Starbucks did this "buy five get one free" promotion for the holiday drinks. Not really a great deal when you think about it, but I bought into it like a total sucker. Early January, I was still trying to get my [second] card filled, even though technically I wasn't supposed to be doing that anymore as the holidays are officially over (yes, Starbucks, I know, I get it, we're all depressed in the dead of winter now, no free drinks for you, and that new caramel flan latte you're trying to sell as your January drink isn't making matters much better). I bought a gingerbread latte at another location to try and get one of the stickers, but when the guy couldn't find them right away, he found an easy out by reminding me that the promotion had ended. But here, the barista actually looked for the stickers, and upon finding them, gave me TWO stickers so I could go ahead and get my free drink already. And otherwise, they're just friendly in general.

  5. I agree with Lexi M. staff is slow.  I never come here if I am in a rush.  I used to work next door so I was there a lot.  No bathroom which is no big deal when I worked next door.  I prefer other Starbucks to this one but still use it when I'm around.

  6. I know what you're thinking … a Starbucks review? But really, there's stuff you should know.

These guys are open early and on the weekends, which is really useful if you're in to work early and need coffee for you OR if you're stuck organizing a meeting nearby.

On a Saturday morning, some of the nicest staff helped me get a few boxes of coffee, loaded me down with shopping bags full of cups, sugars and milks to set up a sweet coffee bar in our conference room. All of these things are included in the $15 per jug rate.

Also good to note that there's just a bar seating along the window and one tiny cafe table, so this is more of a grab and go situation than a place to hang out.

  7. Store #9242

I've never dislike Starbucks franchise for either their beverages or food until this very dismay visit.  Following a disappointing morning, I was hoping for some comfort, substance for my weary spirit.  One turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich at $5.75 surely comprises of the four B's = Bland, Blah, Boo, and Bù (the fourth is Chinese for NO)!!  It was immensely dry and even with the two packages of mayo and yellow mustard none was beneficial to bring life to this EEK sandwich.  No quality for all the money in the world can surmount to food at this Grand Central Terminal vicinity.

  8. This Starbucks is on the way to work – it's on the right side of the street.

The mobile ordering is amazzzzing. I place an order when I get on the 7 train at Times Sq and it's usually more than ready by the time I pick it up on the way to work. As someone who doesn't like holding piping hot coffee, I don't mind letting it cool off a bit.

The employees are all friendly too. Good job, Starbucks. I stopped patroning your shop since the location across my office is a mess.
