Sunday night munchies and i drove down to chelsea to find a legit slice. Artichoke was closed and there was a parking spot right in front of stella's. Glad i stopped in. This is a quintessential new york slice. Thin, big crispy crust. The sauce is spicy!!! Yummmm great great sauce. I can taste some quality in the ingredients. Thank you. 4.25 for each Pepperoni slice. The cheese is average this pizza is for sauce lovers for sure. The crust gets slightly dry but decent nonetheless.
Its OK pizza. I got the buffalo chicken. Its just average pizza for your late night needs. Not many places one the west side that I'd choose to get a quick slice. I do think it was bit too expensive for the slice itself.
Edible food, crummy service and room-temperature canned soda. Call me a pizza snob, but Boston and Chicago have me spoiled to pizza and set a high standard.
I came here last night, wanting a quick bite before heading back to my place. I had passed by Artichoke's, but didn't feel like waiting, so I came across this place. I like the retro-hole-in-the-wall feel. The glowing neon red lights. Almost like a mini-pizza diner. Guy behind the counter was a bit brusque and the pizza was overly salty. Fine, but dollar pizza still tops my books in this part of town.
It's a big small of a pizza joint, but it is in NYC. I have to admit they do a fantastic job of making quality pizza's. I ordered a whole chicken bacon ranch. It was great! I have to admit, I love pizza and that is probably one of the top 10 spots in NYC and on Long Island. Bravo and highly recommend!
Excellent NY style pizza. They are open late and they deliver to the Dream Hotel Downtown. It is also on the next block if you want to walk there. They have good calzone's there also. I would recommend you try this place if you are in the area.
Just your typical take-out pizza joint that happens to have a few small tables/counter if you want to stay in. I only had a couple plain slices but I was impressed. Of course the crust had that extra crispiness from the reheating process but the flavor and texture was definitely above average. Still not as good as Suprema but this pizza will definitely suffice if I'm in the area.
In Chelsea at 1AM, after some drinking and need some pizza? This is the place to go. My boyfriend works in Chelsea and had suggested it. I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't drunk enough to be eating bad pizza, but he insisted it was good. I was surprised, it was not in fact drunk pizza, but actually good pizza – and I AM a pizza snob (but I'm from new york).
Cheese to sauce ratio, perfect. Surprisingly not greasy at all. Crust, perfect. Toppings, the jury is still out because I got plain.
We did have to deal with a painful conversation between two drunken hipsters, who "don't eat pizza ever," because they "stay away from all carbs," but that's not the fault of the pizzeria.
Will be going back here!
