The only reason why I am giving them three stars is because they are directly across the street from us. Therefore, I am there almost every day buying a drink or something convenient that I just cannot live without. Sure, I could walk three blocks up to Seneca and get the same thing for cheaper at Associated, but it is snowing and I do not feel like dressing appropriately.
Even in the dead of winter, their drinks in the cooler are still "New York Cold" (which is just above room temperature). Most of the drinks here are expired and don't even go for the ice cream and food. Sometimes on the weekends they have fresh fruit for sale that is pretty cheap.
The guys working here have seen me shopping in their store in various states of undress and even shoe-less. Hey, I am just running across the street really quick. I don't even need to bring my keys because I can get back before the front door slowly swings shut.
Sometimes I do wish that they were more helpful, like if they would; help me carry things, let me borrow their awesome snow shovel, give me boxes, or call someone to help us load things. They even called the parking cop on me when I was moving into my building to give me a ticket. But, it is not their responsibility to make me happy, they are just a convenience store!
