Stingers is a nice little local spot that if you asked me to describe, I would have to say it's an elevated sports bar with a slight lean towards Italian fare.
TVs on most walls, all typically playing different games, dining area up front, bar towards the back, it's a pretty open layout with a casual atmosphere. Like any other sports bar, can get loud at times, but not overly. The staff is nice, service can be slow at times, but as expected.
The food here is what sets them a notch higher in my book from other sports bars. I've been here multiple times now and haven't been upset with any of my choices yet. They offer daily specials which have enticed me enough to to keep switching up my choices on each visit. The menu offers options that range from typical sports bar food choices (wings, sliders, pizza, etc.) up to some nicely done steaks, pasta dishes, and/or seafood options. I must say as well, I really do like the bread pudding!
Came here to watch the game with some friends after we just finished dinner around the area.
The inside of the restaurant was extremely spacious. Also noticed that many of the dining tables were empty and not seated. It was about 8 pm, so don't think that's the best sign…
The bar has a pretty decent selection of beers and spirits stocked. They also have 5~6 TVs above the bar. They're not huge, so you'd probably have to sit at the bar in order to get a good view.
Overall, the beer was good and the pour pretty decent. As the night progressed I noticed a lot more locals filling the bar area up, while the dining room remained pretty much empty.
Just out of curiosity, I asked the bartender which one's the best appetizer, so that I can check the food out a bit without overloading. The steak tip was recommended and I ordered that medium/rare. The steak bites was cooked ok, texture was not too rough. However, it came with some kind of horseradish mustard sauces that was a just too greasy for me.
Overall a decent time, but just not sure if I would make my way all the way out here again…
I've come here a bunch of times for lunch. I usually get their salads which are good. The pizza is also decent. My friends enjoy getting their filet mignon cheesesteaks.
They have a small parking lot in the side.
We normally call ahead so they can have the food ready for us when we arrive, and they are always ready for us!
