  1. I came in here for an art event; I didn't know this place was two bars and actually ran into a bartender friend. Their cocktails are great; I got a Dietrich and my friend got a whiskey sour. The decor is fab as well, very artsy. This is a nice spot to go for a couple of drinks to start the night off.

  2. Decent brunch spot. 50/50 split on like/dislike among our party of 6 so 3* seems fair.

Highlights: chicken schnitzel- enough to feed a family of 4 and enough of a carb load to get you through a marathon.
The breakfast pizza was well liked and although I didn't try it, fresh avocado slices are always a huge bonus.
The cast iron egg skillet was also a favorite.

    The lowlights:
Our party of 6 was seated near the entrance on a cold windy day. Theoretically, the double door mechanism should've kept us nice and toasty- theoritically. For some reason one of the doors (and at times both of the doors) would stay propped open. This kept happening throughout our meal so we, along with the staff took turns closing the doors- yay.

The service was quite slow and sporadic and the food took forever to come out. Also, to start off we were served a carafe of water which was enough to fill maybe half of our party's glasses and getting a refill was also like pulling teeth.

I ordered the spinach, beet and goat cheese salad which was exactly what I was craving. I added chicken for a little protein boost. And although I loved the combination, the chicken was subpar and had a weird taste. One of our friends had the same thing but her chicken was as cold as the draft coming through the door, needless to say she was not pleased.

Another odd point was their $26 bottomless drinks option… So not worth it for day drinking- on a Sunday. Even for the city, it seemed a bit steep and according to my source there are much better deals out there.

  3. Studio Kraut is a fun trendy restaurant that has German style food all of which was delicious. This place just popped up but I am sure it will become a hot spot fast. This place is like the modern age beer garden.

I went here with a big group of friends and we got a table the staff was extremely friendly, the service was quick, and ambiance was very cool.

We tried all the appetizers but my favorite was the beer battered pickles which was so crispy and good and the Cast Iron baked Brie which was a gooey awesomeness.

For the main course I got the Haus burger which had smoke gouda, shaved pickles, horseradish aoli on a Kaiser roll that sounds good and it was. It also came with fries and curried ketchup!

For desert we got the Bavarian cream puffs and the apple strudel they both were so sweet and perfect to finish the night.

    In short:
    – Delicious Food and drinks
    – Great ambiance
    – Friendly Staff
    – Great date spot for apps and drinks

  4. Went here with a couple of friends after researching for some reasonably priced dinner spots in the area. When we arrived, we were quickly seated as there was a bit of a crowd, but plenty of open tables.

After ordering a couple of drinks, I decided to go with the bratwurst plate for my entree. When the plate came out it was packed with tons of sausage, along with some potato salad, pickled cabbage, and sauerkraut. The cabbage was very pedestrian, but the potato salad and sauerkraut were very tasty. In addition, the sausage had good flavor and paired nicely with the curried ketchup.

Overall, this place is still up and coming, but they are on the right track and has a cool vibe to it overall. Furthermore, the prices here were pretty reasonable, especially considering the amount of food that was included in each of our dishes. Definitely a great place to check out if you are looking for some good German food in the area.
