This place is worse than absolutely horrible, it's a hell hole… Populated by loitering/lingering bums and bag ladies and school kids throwing food (and obscenities) at one another… The service is almost too bad to be true: "You, order!" "I'm not in line, I'm looking at the menu." "Make up your mind or get out!" "Fine, may I please have a 6 inch veggie delite on wheat" at this point all the employees behind the counter look at each other and exchange some words then start laughing at me… They're very stingy with their ingredients and charge you a ridiculously high fee ($2 for extra tomatoes on a $5 sandwich!) for "special orders" — and if you ask for your bread toasted they give you major stink-eye… Now that there are (finally, thankfully) more choices in the area, whenever I'm at Walter Reade Theater or Merkin Concert Hall or Peter Jay Sharp Theatre I won't have to come back to this miserable awful place.
