Bald spot is sweating. This was a GREAT restaurant with excellent food and loved the spring rolls. BUT one drawback is they charge per soda which I was unaware of and with the level of spice I ordered my sodas were more than my appetizer. Be sure and order the heat level on a 1-4 scale – you can't delete but you can add. Will eat here again when I go back next week.
Accommodating of groups, great Thai Iced Tea. Pad see ewe was fine, nothing noteworthy. Food comes out fast, everything tasted fresh.
My FAVORITE restaurant. Fast and friendly service, food is always delicious and prices are very reasonable. My personal favorites are the pad thai and the pad-see-ew. The lunch special is such a good deal that even when I go alone, I order both! It's just too hard to choose!
Somewhat standard Thai cuisine. Nothing is sensational, but everything is more or less on point. They are not on par with some of the finer Thai cuisine I've eaten, but the food was properly seasoned and properly cooked.
I felt that the items marked as spicy were only moderately spicy, as if they are afraid of either offending their clientele, or that their patrons are typically spice-averse. If you like spice, you may be best to ask them to kick it up a notch or ask for "Thai spicy."
Oddly, at about 8:30 on a Saturday night, the restaurant had very few patrons. When we left at about 9:15, we were the only party there. Either they have an earlier crowd or a midweek crowd. Maybe their strength is lunch or take-out. They're not amazing, but they're doing a good enough job to have a better crowd than that.
The service was friendly and attentive until the end of our meal when everyone just disappeared. It was a little tough to get our check at the end.
One real knock against the place was our Pad Thai. It was supposed to be served with shrimp and chicken, but ours arrived sans shrimp. This was corrected when we pointed it out, but it was as if they were trying to slip one past us.
It's a decent place if you live or work locally. Probably better for take-out than dine in, unless you're dropping in for lunch. We had dropped in for a quick bite before a movie, and they certainly got us in and out without a fuss. You could do better. You could do worse.
The food here is quite good, but the place is less than honest. They charged me $15.95 instead of $13.95 (or $12.95?) for a meal I ordered, because they "mistakenly" charged me for shrimp instead of chicken. They upcharged 50 cents for brown rice – fine, I understand, but the menu did not state that and the waitress said nothing. If she asks "white or brown rice" then I assume both are the same price. The tea was $2 per person for one kettle. Does it really cost you $2 to bring that one other cup? I was going to argue the point but I was taking my mom out, so I let it go and just subtracted it from the tip.
So I'm starting with a cautionary tale – if you do go here, pay close attention to your bill and be prepared to argue. Unfortunately, that overshadows what was otherwise very fresh food, prepared with good flavors. I had the Maple Street Chicken and it was breaded nicely – more heavily than I would have expected from Thai food, maybe similar to a Lemon Chicken dish in a Chinese restaurant. Not sure it's really authentic. The portion was fairly generous, though there was not a lot of rice with it. My mom had the sweet and sour shrimp and ate every bit of it.
My parents love the place, and they're smart enough to know if they're being mischarged. For me, a first impression like that is going to come foremost. I'll stick to the myriad of other Thai options in the area.
This was my first time eating here and it was a great experience! My mother had never eaten Thai food so it was the closest to the Livingston mall after shopping.
Appetizers- we ordered Curry Puffs and Shrimp Rolls. The curry puffs were served with a side of cucumber and resign in a sweet clear sauce. I posted a picture of them and these were the best Thai appetiser I have ever ordered to date. Definitely recommended! The shrimp rolls are served with a plum dipping sauce and were very simple and sweet.
Our main dish of course was drunken noodles which we shared and still had enough to take home some. Medium heat was pretty good. I did. Not get it with chicken and shrimp as it was served on the menu I had it switched to beef. I was anticipating a hotter dish and it really wasn't that spicy, which was perfect for my mother who had never eaten Thai food before.
Service was quick and friendly. Overall had a great experience and would come here again in the future.
Dropped in here quickly for both lunch and dinner. I love Thai food but I had to adjust my expectations accordingly. The food was fine here. The food came quickly and the service was very quick and friendy. I've ordered the thai spring rolls, the pad see ew and the thai fried rice. Everything is okay. I'm still in the business of looking at different Thai spots. But this is close to work and I thought the food was okay.
Get the drunken noodle! Best item on the menu! While most of the dishes are great, I would stick to the noodle ones. Great for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
Located in a strip mall on Route 10, this Summit Thai is easy to find on the main drag. Parking spots are available up front. The restaurant space is pretty deep, so there is a good amount of room and tables. You won't feel crowded if you decide to dine in.
The decor is well done and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Great casual dining spot or date place.
