Too small…there's like no space to look at the produce…this place is small and lack variety of stuff compared to the other Asian supermarket Iv ever been to in NYC …
I've been coming to this supermarket since I was a child. It's an Asian grocery supermarket haven. It has everything that a typical Asian supermarket has. The food items are moderately priced and the employees are hard working people. I remember when I was a kid and I dropped a watermelon here and the owner of the store didn't charge my parents and they even gave me free candy.
Great prices on seafood and vegetables! Seriously, today I bought a cantaloupe for only $2 here! And, I got a head of lettuce for $.97. Compare THAT to the $1.50 at Pathmark. $.50 may not seem like a lot but in the grand scheme of grocery shopping, we all know that change can really make a difference. (:
Anyway, they have a small parking lot in the front. Be aware that when I say small, I mean SMALL. There are probably all of 6 parking spots.
It's not the cleanest of markets but then again, what seafood and meat market is ever *clean*? Exactly. None!
convenient place to shop since it is right by the train station (25th Ave in brooklyn) so I can stop by after work. other than that, there is parking and I can usually find a spot (although it is tight). prices are more or less the same as other Chinese groceriy stores in the area. this place has everything (fish, produce, meats, herbal stuff and groceries etc). You see non-chinese folks shop here too which is cool.
I guess I am a lover of all things Asian, food, culture, women (especially that last one) and having just gotten a wok this past xmas I have been making frequent trips here for supplies. The aisles are a bit cramped but most supermarkets in NY are. No sure about the fish or meat but my coworker has bought seafood from here and was impressed. I use it for the great array of sauces, spices and condiments. Also bought my fist tea steeper here as I decided its time to start making tea like a grown up and the variety of teas they sell is really large. The checkout ladies are a tad gruff but she did open up my steeper and show me it was all intact so points for that. Nice selection of noodles and Asian shrimp chips,
