Sushi Yume
“Alright, so on my last day of Christmas vacation this year, we decided to finally try this place because it was fairly new, and we wanted to see if our beloved K's Sushi Plus was still delicious.”
“The ratio of sushi to rice was perfect on the rolls and the sushi was fresh.”

Pretty standard Japanese fare. I like the decor, muted tones of beige. Service is good but beware the waiter is the host/cashier, so it's good on a weekday. $23 for bento boxes filled with the usual bento stuff. Reliable but not spectacular. I had enough for lunch next day.
Really unimpressive. Came here for lunch with my boyfriend today.
There are good pros. The restaurant itself was very nice. Not too big and not too small. Really nice decor. Very tranquil and a nice layout.
I had the lunch special. For $13 i had three rolls and a choice of a soup or salad. For a lot of other lunch specials you get a lot more bang for your buck. You can get soup, salad, and ice cream.
The two stars comes from the meal itself. There was nothing great about this sushi. Too much rice for my taste (filling to rice ratio is important to me). Each roll was also very large which is good; however they were too big to fit in one bite. The taste itself was fishy to me. Big turn off. I go to a lot of sushi places and this meal was below average.
I had the spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll and salmon avocado. The salmon avocado was the best one.
Despite the two stars, i would come here again if I had to. It was a very nice place and nice staff. I know i would get plain salmon avocado or just plain avocado. Just a little below average for me
Sushi Plus is now Sushi Yume.
I came here by way of recommendation of friend who said the sushi was pretty good. Unfortunately I didn't find that to be so.
Usually the first time in a sushi place I like to order a sushi deluxe or a sushi/sashimi combo. I did it this visit. This gives you an idea of the fish quality without all the embellishments. The fish quality is typical of what you find in most area sushi places and I personally didn't care for it too much.
If you are a fan of mediocre fish, or you don't have a great preference I suggest you try Sushi Republic down the road – at least it is AYCE (Not that great, but at least there is a lot of it! lol)
The decor was nice and I like the grey tones mixed in with the typical wood look of most sushi places opening nowadays. It is an upgrade from Sushi Plus that was here before. They were blasting some electronic dance music for some reason, but eventually changed this mellow music.
Again my sushi reviews tend to be harsh. I am sure many people will like this type of place – the service was friendly enough, the decor is pleasing and the food is typical of most any other average sushi place.
