  1. My sister suggested ordering from Sweet Corner Bake Shop for a bridal shower.
We ordered an assortment of cupcakes as well as cookies for the occasion ahead of time.  The order was ready right on time and when I went to pick it up, the staff was super friendly.  This is a cute little corner bakery, but as others have mentioned there is very limited seating inside.  Just a window bar with a few chairs.  They did have some outdoor seating, but unless its nice outside I'd say this is more a pick-up-and-go sort of place than eat-in.
The cookies are huge and definitely worth going back for, and those got great reviews.  The cupcakes were a mixed bag for me.  They looked great, but the actual cake part of the cupcake tasted heavy.  Meanwhile the frosting was fantastic!  Super light and sweet, and not the heavy hard consistency that usually makes me scrape the frosting right off of most cupcakes.
Overall, I would come here for a singular treat for myself (cookies!), but ordering for events can make this place pretty pricey.

  2. Had bookmarked this shop for awhile and finally came in for a coffee break early March 2016. Its conveniently located off of Hudson Street about two blocks away from PATH and four from the 1 subway station. There's a park across the street and some cute shops in the area. Location is in the heart of Greenwich Village. The variety of sweets and other food items is diverse. Some items have a South American flair including the cheese bread bites probably due to the fact that the owner is Brazilian. The owner is also a very successful cake designer who recently won Cake Wars on tv.

I've tried the Five Chocolate Sea Salt cookie which is so delicious and worth a plurge of $5 each. The coffee isn't bad either, a darker Brazilian roast. Most of the prices are typical to those of other boutique shops like this in the surrounding area. The shop is a bit small with some window tables and bar stools inside but they do have tables and chairs for additional outdoor seating. I actually worked here for a day so I do know the manager and other staff take their work seriously and always aim to accommodate customers. I can personally claim that the food and drink items are fresh, made daily. Overall experience as a customer and worker was good.

  3. I was partially lured by the sign saying they had the best sea salt chocolate chip cookie in the city and the free coffee with cookie purchase Yelp deal was the clincher.  Unfortunately once you open the deal you've got to get 2 cookies ($5 each) and so I didn't end up using it after all.

The cookie is very good, but also very expensive.  Not the best I've had, but still good, and the coffee was enjoyable as well.  Slightly crisp exterior of the cookie with a bit of a softer interior.

In a very cute area of town (west village-ish i guess?) and worth checking out.

  4. ugh
Location: west village becomes very pricy to even pay a visit now. Why? some random out of no  where bakery places takes more than 5 dollars to pay a small portion of cookies…
    not happy
The store is mostly occupied by its bakeries, few spots to sit.
They do offer many options bakeries, but only cookies are so tempting that I urge myself to pay many bucks on those tempting cookies.

However, the result is very disappointed – stale and too much flavor made me forgot that I am eating a cookie. Instead, I felt like I am eating plain sugar.
That's not what cookie designed for, isn't it?

And price is very much not comparably what I am looking for.

yeah, sorry. I have to say that if I want to pay the same price, I do want to go somewhere else.

    Bye, west pricy village

  5. Underwhelming. Came here and tried two of their signature cookies. So average I can't even describe it to you.

  6. I almost passed this place by. Just had dinner and was full but was drawn in by the sign out front advertising the red velvet Nutella cookie. If you're able to resist this sign, you deserve to go to heaven for self flagellation. I, on the other hand, would have gone straight to hell for immediately welcoming this tantalizingly wonderful creation.

There are cute tables on the sidewalk, which are wonderful for people watching. Inside there are a few tables and a bar seating area. The lighting is good and this place is so good b

We ultimately were able to get the cookie, and it was as good as the name sounds. They had many other delicious items, some sold out since it was late in the evening.

  7. Eight of us met there this evening (Meetup group) and I really liked it.  Admittedly I forced myself to avoid eating any of the many beautiful & tempting-looking sweets, but I got a cup of (regular) coffee ($1.75) and it tasted very good.  Also, the guy working there (Amon) was *very* friendly.  There are five (small) four-seater tables in front of the store (whereas the store's interior is minuscule, although it has a few stools along the big windows facing the side street).  We're going to meet there again in four weeks, as long as it's not raining.  This place is located on a lovely block, and it was very enjoyable & leisurely to sit out there on a pleasant evening.

  8. Pass by this bakeshop every so often on walks up Hudson street. Small place with indoor and outdoor seating doling out tempting baked goods and drinks.

After a relatively filling lunch on Wednesday, headed here for the sweet tooth. Got a Twix Brownie ($4.75), a Nutella Bomb Cookie ($4.75), and a large coffee ($2.75). Not in love with the prices here; you can get similar items for less at other bakeries. The bomb is a red velvet cookie with a dab of Nutella filling at the center. Crisp on the outside and softish on the inside, a decent combination but wish there was more Nutella flavor spread out. The brownie has a Twix bar baked into it, which is great, though flavor wise I was hoping for more of that Twix chocolate.

A decent spot for your sugar fix, just not that impressed with it. On the plus side, they do take LevelUp.
