Calling all cravers, Bay Ridge has a Taco Bell,I repeat Bay Ridge has a….you get the picture. I don't live in the Ridge, but If I did, I would turn into a fat a*s. I love Taco Bell, its my favorite of all the fast food conglomerates,te quiero Taco Bell. As soon as my sis told me they opened up in the Ridge,I was in there like swimwear. Gorditas, chalupas, cool ranch Doritos crunchy tacos, the list goes on and on and on. Worth a car ride from the Slope to the Ridge.
It's been quite a few years since Bay Ridge has had their own Taco Bell franchise to enjoy as the one that previous stood not too far from this new space has been both a Quizno's and a Starbuck's since. Note that the Starbuck's is still in place. This Taco Bell opened just about a week ago and I welcome them back since it was always one of my favorites in terms of the fast food offerings. Bay Ridge now has a McDonald's, Burger King, Chipotle, Panera Bread and a Wendy's. You surely have your choice of options when you come shopping around here.
Anyway, this is for my first visit to the new space and its very clean and since new is also very busy. I didn't wait too long in the line for the ordering process but since all of this stuff is prepared per order it did take a little longer to receive it. Now since its new the manager really appears to be on the staffs backs to get moving to get the orders out to the customers. Something happened with mine as pretty much everyone that was behind me left the restaurant before me. It happens and I was not in a rush to go anywhere but home so I could play with my phone for a few more minutes. Mind you my order was not complex and only consisted of two burritos and two smaller tacos and their new chicken rolled tacos. Seemed easy to me.
The manager realized I was still waiting with an entirely new queue of people behind me so started running about the prep area point to the machine and the receipt. I guess it was missed. I got handed a bag quick that was NOT the order so I said "not mine" and he looked again and blammo, on my way. Like I said it is very new and still earning its legs in this fast food dynamic of 2014 but they do need a little bit more focus from what I observed. They were keeping the place very clean and there are two doors to get into the place with one on the far end and one on the side. The order was tasty and I had no complaints about the choices I made. They will have their work cut out for them though based on the very nearby Chipotle which seems to be peoples preferential choice nowadays for this kind of fast food fare. I have not yet tried our local establishment for that but when I do a Yelp shall surely be penned.
Until next time.
Brooklyn (bay ridge) has long needed a taco bell!!! yeah I know what you're thinking, why oh god why?! well truth of the matter is sometimes you just crave it.
this location is meant to be a quick in/out place, small amount of seating and bar style seats accompany the small layout. food is fresh and service is plesant. don't expect much ambiance as it's a fast food chain.
typical Taco Bell fair, give it a shot, your tummy will thank you (just kidding!)
I was having a craving for Taco Bell and just my luck a new Taco Bell opened recently in Bay Ridge! This location has not been open very long and you could see staff still fixing things up, but you also see the employees are not fully up to speed either. As I was placing my order an employee was demeaning an employee for not knowing how to operate the bill checker machine. She spoke down to him twice and I felt bad the young fella. I will be back to this location as there is not another Taco Bell near me, hopefully by then they can work all the kinks out.
It's decent food. Place just opened, so it's pretty clean. Staff is okay; not particularly friendly but not rude either.
