  1. Great falafels! Super filling pitas with good value for money. Get the harissa-flavored falafels with all the dressings. Generous serving of hummus!

The fries with saffron aioli was a bit soggy and blend, so will skip these the next time.

  2. Yummy. It's a tiny store with few seating places, so not great to hang and have real meals. I got falafel sandwich, which tastes as good as those review goes. I don't think it's really that light, because of all the sauce. I should ask for less sauce. I also got smoothie, for $5.5, you can choose two fruits/veggies and base (coconut milk, milk, soy milk…). I got raspberry, kale and soy milk, which turned out to be great! (They have nice blenders for sure). You can also add whey/protein/flax seed for extra $. Definitely come back again to try other stuff recommended here.

  3. I give this place 5 stars because it is cheap for the neighborhood, yet delicious and not heavy. If you're around here looking for cheap food and are not in the mood for Chinese, I would recommend this spot. Although the guy at the cash register was quite angry at the world, and the line didn't move as expediently as it could, it was still quite tolerable.

I liked that there are different flavor choices for the falafel, although I'm not sure they are so different. I found the sandwich really tasty, with a good mix of textures and a good spice level. I will definitely return.

  4. This is probably the best falafel I had so far! I had a traditional (green) falafel sandwich; It was totally delicious. It was a fast, simple and delicious meal. Only took me less than 5 minutes to get my order.
I also like the decoration, the place is clean, bright and very urban style.
I plan to come back and try their mixed plater soon!

  5. Nice staff and quick service. I had the falafel plate with mixed falafel, everything tastes great! There is a small park outside where I ate, since space inside is limited.

  6. I AM A FAN… A HUGE HUGE FAN.

So I would not say I've tried all of nyc's falafels to say that this is the best but I've certainly had enough to warrant a good amount of credibility. I went to NYU, mecca for falafel shops. Mamoun's was just cheap falafels smothered in tahini with wimpy vegetables and a weak pita. Maoz was a once a week lunch because of the unlimited toppings. I've also had Falafel King in Astoria, University Pita, Olympic Pita, Pick a Pita, Chickpea, Crisp, Pita Express. Ok… so maybe I've been to my fair share.

    Here's what we ordered:
    1) Green Falafel sandwich with everything – deliciously traditional and flavorful
    2) Harissa Falafel sandwich with everything – great flavor with a little heat

The sandwich is stuffed to the top with the cucumber/tomato salad and lettuce. The hummus smear is very generous and is so creamy, smooth, and delicious. If you order it "with everything" it comes with israeli pickles, pickled jalapeno peppers and a s'rug (cilantro chili hot sauce) and amba (mango fenugreek chutney). I loved it.  I asked for extra s'rug and it really gives off flavorful heat without making you want to cry. It does overpower the taste of the falafel and tahini so try it with and without.

I had the wheat pita pocket and it is warm and fluffy compared to the cart pitas. I prefer them much more over the thin and crispy ones. This pita I could eat alone! It's also thick enough to hold all the contents without exploding and becoming a mess.

I am jumping on the Taim bandwagon. I can't wait to go again… and again… and again!

  7. Awesome place for falafel in Nolita! I got the mixed falafel platter after seeing so many good pictures of it on Yelp, and was not disappointed. The falafel balls themselves were delicious, and it was fun to try the three different flavors.

The plate also came with a ton of hummus, as well as tabbouleh, a Jerusalem salad and a few pieces of pita bread. Every element of the plate was delicious, right down to the fresh and fluffy pita (something that I feel is often overlooked). The sauces served alongside the plate were also great – I'm always a sucker for the spicy green s'rug sauce.

The shop itself is pretty tiny, with a limited number of seats available. I didn't have trouble getting a spot on my last visit, but there weren't necessarily tons of free spots available.

  8. I have been dying to try this place for a while. SO HAPPY I finally did! As a vegetarian, I am always on the lookout for delicious options beyond the standard salad. I ordered the falafel salad and it was amazing! Romaine, Israel salad, falafel, tahini. YUM. It was so full of flavor and the ingredients were so fresh. It was unbelievably good. I can't wait to go back and try more things. Pretty affordable too and no line when I went at lunch time!
