  1. Bagel shop with great bagels and sandwiches.  I ordered a toasted bagel with roast beef tomato and cheese. The bagel was very good and they were generous with the roast beef. Excellent sandwich. Servers were very friendly.

Recommend for bagels and sandwiches if you're in the area.

  2. Overpriced. Mediocre bagels. Inedible tomatoes.

This place is okay if you want a quick, simple bagel and cream cheese. Anything else, you're better off buying the ingredients at a super market and making it yourself for 1/10 the price.

Beware of the whitefish salad, which had multiple bones. These were not small bones either. Very lucky we caught them.

We had 2 bagels with tomatoes. Both tomato slices had inedible green cores. Are you kidding? Throw out the tomato ends. And maybe don't charge a ridiculous $1.50 for a crappy, inedible tomato slice.

The bagels themselves are mediocre. Decent variety but not much flavor.

I know bagel prices charge a lot for lox, but the prices here are just ridiculous. $28 for a bagel and lox and a bagel with whitefish salad. They don't even tell you what the charges are unless you ask. Crazy.

Do not–I repeat–do not get any toppings unless you want to be ridiculously overcharged.

  3. A simple breakfast of an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox.

Simply amazing. Perfectly toasted, just solidly good stuff. But for $14???

    Egh…

  4. YESSSSSS lol

I was recommended to try the everything bagel at this place, because they have salt on them and I *love* salty bagels. They don't have good iced coffee, but their bagel was outstanding. I'm craving one now!

  5. This is the only location that serves flat pumpernickle (sp?) bagels, but now they add poppy seeds to it. So if you're literally only allowed to bring flat pumpernickle bagels then yes you have to trek all the way up here to find them.

Overall though, this is a pretty big location, its not that dirty, and the people are pretty nice.

  6. Great place to grab a bite to eat for breakfast.  Got the everything bagel with egg and cheese.  It was so tasty I came back the next day for the same thing.  I am not a breakfast person but I could get used to this!

  7. This place has good bagels but super expensive. Not to mention that its filthy Im surprised they haven't been shut down. Ran in for a flagel with egg salad and was charged $9.75 which I think is absurd. There are many cleaner and better bagel shops near by like Hot and Crusty.

  8. Oh Tal Queda what am I to do with you?

Bagels aren't as good as H&H but it is pretty close so go where you live closer.

Pickled, smoked and otherwise cured fish products are very good (Not Barney Greengrass or Russ and Daughters good, but as good as you will get without going to those places).

The service…the service is deplorable. So much so that I think that Tal is possibly the most subtle terrorist plot ever conceived.

You order your food slightly hung over and impatient. Then you explain what you want about eleventeen times and then have to watch them like a hawk to make sure you get what you ordered. Then you pay. God help you if you are using a card. You stand there, wanting your delicious, salty, fish laden breakfast as someone behind the counter tries to get the world record for slowest f'n credit card ring up in the universe.

You are finally done and then shove notoriously salty food into your heart via your mouth.

I have never seen anyone actually explode there, but, presumably, it happens at least twice a week.
