  1. New sushi spot in Englewood? Yay!

There's not much to comment on as far as the food goes because I didn't try anything special…just a house salad, edamame and an avocado roll. I loved the dressing on the house salad, it was creamy and tangy. The edamame could've used a little more salt, but then again I'm a sodium fanatic. And the avocado roll was run of the mill.

My boyfriend, on the other hand, ordered the seafood tom yum soup which looked and smelled amazing. I wish they had a vegetable version, maybe I'll ask them if they can swing it next time I go.

They stay open during lunch and dinner which is a plus for weirdos like me who eat lunch at 3:00. Even though we were the only table in the restaurant, our server was super attentive (believe it or not, I've actually had bad service being the only one in the restraurant, it is possible). The atmosphere is very modern, minimal and sleek.

They include a survey to fill out when they give you the check. Under the comments section I wrote that I enjoyed my visit, and would be giving them a positive review on Yelp. So, here it is! Next time I go I'll be sure to try something more adventurous.

  2. This is a pan asian restaurant in downtown Englewood which serves notably Chinese, Japanese and Thai (at least… they may have others).  I have ordered food a couple of times for delivery.  I had pad thai and general tso's chicken the first time, and I don't remember what I ordered the second time.  Overall I didn't think it was going to be the go to asian place around here, but at the same time I thought it was not a bad option, either.

  3. Sushi and byob done right! The sashimi is fresh. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is excellent!

  4. My favorite sushi place in all of north jersey- and I've been to several. Try the specialty rolls. They are delicious! And my favorite- salad with ginger dressing. Their dressing had a peanut taste and I love it!!! They also have outdoor seating. The place is SO clean, and has a romantic vibe as well. 🙂

  5. Updated review: the manager that was rude to us we have not seen back since. The service is amazing. They are friendly and do a great job. The food is by far the best Japanese/Thai/Chinese fusion around. The decor is very modern and has that nyc feel. Its a great place for a date or a big group of friends. You can't beat the prices either. Compared to a local Chinese takeout, you are paying around 10 dollars more (entire bill 2 people) for 100 percent white meat seaseme  chicken and a seared tuna salad. Add the wonderful staff, decor, and food you get a 5 star restaurant. I tell everyone about TANI and my wife and i cant get enough. A must try! Dont forget your bottle! Byob.

  6. Place is truly impressive. Their food is extremely tasty and large portions!! I love Chinese food and lately the prices of takeout Chinese have been so high and the dine out nice places have been more reasonable since the portion are just as large and the atmosphere is beautifully. The special sushi rolls are super large and very creative and tasty. The staff is very friendly, a little slow on water but otherwise very good.

I had the Shanghai pork and I ate the entire thing! Ask for the chili hot sauce/oil it's incredible to
Mix in with the more robust dishes. My boyfriend had the mango shrimp and he instantly fell in love! The place is gorgeous as well (for those of you checking this place out for date night or a special event YES- also good for casual dinner since the prices are insanely reasonable).

BYOB!! I'll be back hoping to have an equally as enjoyable experience to bump them to 5 stars 🙂 kudos tani!

  7. Came here for the first time with the girlfriend. We were seated and greater instantly. Started with some miso soup and edamame. Both came out good and quick. The miso soup was huge and good for two people. We decided to share the special dragon roll and ordered a pad Thai with chicken and lo mien with chicken. All of the food was good. I really enjoyed the lo mien. Some of the best I have ever had. The sushi was good too but I feel I've had better.

The decor in here is different and pleasing as well. Prices are good and good luck finding parking outside. Right on the Palisade strip in Englewood.

  8. I've only been here once but looking forward to another visit. I had sushi rolls for dinner and found them to be on-point. They also serve Thai dishes and that's what I plan to try next time.

Service could've been better, more attentive. I only had to wait once for a water refill but I noticed we didn't get the same attention as other diners…perhaps due to our seating at the sushi bar.
