  1. I don't understand the point of food being so spicy that one cannot enjoy the flavor of it.It could have been enjoyed more thoroughly if the jalapenos weren't so abundant. I ordered the tacos and tortas (one with pastor and one with steak). The pastor was tasty and the steak was alright. I prefer crunchy tacos unless the soft ones have amazing-ness to them, like authentic tacos in TX! If you are ever in Austin, be sure to try The Midway Food Park with the most awesomest taco trucks ever.

By the way, Yelp reviewers were definitely right about the lackadaisical woman who answers the phone.

  2. OK so I didn't like this restaurant when it first opened but I gave it another shot … And the Mexican gods heard my prayers and turned it into one of my favorite Mexican Restaurants apart from El Matador ….

The staff is wayyy friendlier now … The food is finger licking good… And everything is marinated and fresh…

    Good job on the upgrades!!!

  3. Big burritos sometimes come in small packages!

You may drive by thinking very little of the tiny box that is Taqueria Los Gueros of Bloomfield's location but trust me, this is one place definitely worth cramming your way into. For it's small lot that only holds about 6 cars in back, make the effort to get in for some of the finest Mexican meal you're going to come across this side of the Mississippi. With a menu that's simple and sweet, you'll be sure to find something to fall in love with and give your tongue a good kick in the bud!

I went for the Chicken Burrito with guacamole and everything about this burrito separated itself from all others. First off, they texture of the wrap was soft and flexible yet crispy and flaky at the same time which was amazing. Second, they did not skimp on that guacamole! You really get the sense that you just downed an entire avocado with plenty of chicken to spare. Finally, you get a little kick, just enough on those taste buds to know that you've been consuming some top quality food meant to challenge your palate with a little zest! To pair it all off and really give your mouth a workout, they offer 4-dips for you to mix and match to your liking.

  4. We were in route from Maryland to New York and decide to break from fast food dining and give this place a try. It is only a few minutes off the NJ turnpike.

The food here is really good. I had the chicken tacos and my fiance ordered the slow roasted pastor burrito. After tasting the paator. I wish I would have gone with that meat option. It was a unique offering and a really juicy meat. I also loved that they give you a few homemade toppings (red, tomatillo, pickled and limes) to try with your meal.

However, the service was more than disappointing. We were greeted unpleasantly and questions about the menu were taken as an offence. We were the only people in the place so it wasn't clear why we were being rushed and talked down to. With so many dining options and Yelp to help you find them, I try another restaurant.

  5. This place was a quick find after attempting Los Matadores nearby that had a 45 minute wait! EEK! Needless to say we were excited to find this tiny little diner-like Taqueria empty to order whatever our heart desired.

We orderedd Chorizo Tostadas, Pork Tacos and Tacos al Pastor (aka questionable hanging gyro – like meat). My favorite hands down were the Chorizo Tostadas, as they were crunchy, full of flavor, and packed with fresh ingredients like diced onions, cilantro and fresh jalapenos! Be aware to ask for no jalapenos if you don't want to end up with Kylie Jenner lips.

The pork taco, or pernil, was delicious as well. Fresh pulled pork layered on my taco with diced tomatoes and cilantro. If you eat in, they also offer you a variety of sauces and plenty of lime.

As for the tacos al Pastor, these were my least favorite, maybe because they just looked weird laying in my taco, so red, and the meat wasn't as warm as the other, or maybew because I wasn't expecting hanging meat. Either ways, I would skip these.

I want to give this place five stars, but the lady behind the counter really seemed bored with life and wasn't very friendly, just bleh. At one point she did start singing some Mexican music which I appreciated, but that's as much excitement as I saw out of her. They also don't have ice for your drinks, which also annoys me, because I love ice.

There is parking in the back of the place, and yes the area and diner look kind of sketchy, but completely worth the drive over.
