  1. Oh I am totally a fan of their big big big big tacos. The meat is so tender and pack with flavor. Funny thing is the owner and the waitress do speak much English. I had a hard time but hey it's pretty cool. Felt like I am out of this city finally but not.

Drink price is really cheap. unlike those place charge you like $8 to 10 a pop, this place will make your wallet happy. I swear after my 25th birthday that I will never ever again pay for over priced drinks. Leave those to my early 20's. I am still down for place like fig 19 and angel's share thou.

What's so great about this place? We had Mexican steak. It came with salad and rice with bean which pretty much make me happy. They serve you some chip and salsa to start for free however did I mention I got water and only thing they have is bottled. So don't be surprised when they hand you bottled when you asked. I think 2 to 3 taco is plentiful to make you full which it did. they are so really HUGE!! Enjoy

  2. It's a dive, but often these are the best place for good ethnic grub.  As it turns out, this place had highs and lows:

    Lows:
    – I had cheese enchiladas, but they were undercooked and the internal cheese was unmelted and thus lacked gooey goodness.
    – they offered 2 enchilada sauces, green or red, and I asked to have half & half.  Was told it can't be done, which was odd.
    – no chips/salsa/water offered and wasn't check on once, despite it being slow.
    – a tad overpriced for lunch, especially given the area.

    Highs:
    – the plate was smothered with a nice mixture of greens including avocado, a mountain of rice and a tiny side of tasty beans.
    – the red sauce was indeed very good.  I was warned it was spicy but usually they aren't… in this case, however, it was probably the hottest red sauce I've had this side of New Mexico.

If I got a little bit more bang for the buck, and they hadn't undercooked the plate, I might have bumped it to four stars (in the dive category).

  3. I grew up around the corner from this place and never went in. Why? I don't know but I decided to try it out and I'm never going back again. First of all, the prices are super inflated. $10 for a quesadilla?! I got a pollo taco, a carnitas taco and a carne enchilada taco. I watched them make my food, they basically let it sit on the grill on one side without properly cooking it. The resulting meat was hard and chewy and unappetizing. Second, the woman assumed I wanted green sauce instead of red sauce most likely because I'm not Mexican. They didn't give me any silverware either. $2.50 a taco isn't bad, but the dingy restaurant had only one other customer inside. So that's why I never came here.

  4. Ordered delivery, it was fast! Ordered enchiladas which were really good. The rice and beans were terrific.  I would definitely recommend take out from here. Pretty authentic!
