  1. This store has a few things in stock that I absolutely love and can't seem to find elsewhere (which unfortunately means I will probably have to go back), but I was so upset by the lack of customer service I experienced tonight.

I managed to make it to Grand Central before 8pm, so I decided to stop in here, grab a pack of cider, and head home on my train. I arrived at the store at 7:56pm. As I am reaching out for the door handle, the sale associate starts locking the door. I say, "Oh excuse me, I just want to grab one thing."  She says, "No sorry." Then I say, "I just want to grab one pack of that cider right there, I'll be quick." She responds with, "No, I already closed the register."  I ask, "What time do you close?" She says "Eight," so I tell her, "Well I still have three more minutes" (it was 7:57pm now). She just shrugs and says again, "I already closed the register."

Let me be clear. You close at 8pm – you shouldn't be closing any registers or locking any doors before then. Also, they use Square (or a similar POS system) on an iPad to ring up customers / swipe credit cards. You don't "close" that and it would have taken me literally one minute to grab the cider, pay with a credit card, and leave. I would have been gone before their actual closing time!  I guess this store must just be doing CRAZY business that its associates can decide to turn away a sale…  Not cool.

  2. Fantastic selection of NY products. Great beers, wines, syrup and treats. Lots of commuters stopping by to make their trip home a little bearable with beer and wine by the cup. Looking forward to coming back when we are in the area.

    You should too!

  3. Today is opening day and a fantastic day for Taste NY – Grand Central, and New York "Eating their own dogfood" so to speak!

Operated and Curated by the One Woman Winery, one of my two favorite wineries on the North Fork of Long Island and a tribute to the hard work of Claudia and Gabriella Purita, and fantastic wines that they produce.

Featuring all New York themed wines, beers, jams, chips, cookies, sodas, popcorn, cheeses, and the list goes on!

It's conveniently located across from the Starbucks by track 36&37 at Grand Central Terminal! Stop by for fantastic NYS tastings of whatever they are pouring for the day!
