My boyfriend and I ate here on a Thursday night (after finding out Wednesday afternoon that they're no longer open for lunch). We were the only ones eating in at the moment so we were greeted warmly and allowed to seat ourselves. As long as I'm not dining with roaches I could care less about the ambiance so my rating is based strictly on food and service.
Service:
Received our menus immediately but our drink orders weren't taken until she took our entire order….which was probably a good thing that I didn't receive my drink earlier because our waitress wasn't too attentive after laying down the food. I mentally deducted a quarter star every time I reached for my empty glass…
Food:
Yum! For the two of us before tip it was $34- we each got a soft drink, and split the Gyro Platter and the Chicken Souvlaki platter- both came with a simple but ample salad of iceberg, tomato, crumbled feta in a red wine vinaigrette and a plate of warm and very tasty pita. The meat on both platters was delicious- well seasoned, the chicken was juicy, and the portions were generous. I thought the rice included was great- lots of dill! I am a huge fan of dill so I thought it was tasty; my boyfriend is less of a fan and found it too heavy on the dill…fine, more for me.
We left right before the fortune teller showed up….bummer
I went here for lunch. I did take out and got a souflaki sandwich. It was good and the sauce was tasty. The prices are reasonable.
