Was having a craving for chicken tikka masala before going to watch a movie in Newport Mall. This definitely satisfied. Very yummy and enough chicken tikka & naan for my boyfriend and I for under $13. They offer a ton of other stuff that I'd be sure to try another time.
Note- I can't tolerate anything spicy, so this was perfect. Not spicy at all, but lots of flavor.
Side note- the yogurt (raita) was surprisingly very tasty for such a simple item.
Food was tastey but it was COLD!
I had to ask them to pop it in the microwave so it can atleast be warm.
Not sure, if i would give this place another try but I will say, the staff was nice and the naan was great.
Usually their delivery time is pretty good. They're pretty on par with what they communicate. But the last few times I've ordered from here, delivery has been slow and they have given me the wrong order. They do eventually fix it, but in the end, my order should be right the first time. Not worth the hassle to me. I'd rather order from some of the other Indian restaurants around Journal Square.
I really like the food here. Very tasty, full of flavor. But it's a bit pricey for mall food, especially when you get the $7.95/pound buffet. The positive thing about the buffet, you can try a little of everything. And it comes with a big naan. The food definitely fills you up. The one thing I hate is getting a plate full of bones instead of meat. So yeah, be ready to be disappointed or take your time grabbing the meat.
I LOVE Indian food, but this place left a bad taste in my mouth. I know eating in a food court is supposed to be a little over priced, but after eating here my man and I felt like we just got mugged. Why you ask? Because our food was $35.00. At a food court. In a mall. For Indian food. In jersey City. That's just straight up wrong. They used to offer combo meals which were a better value at around $9.00 per tray, but on my last visit they charged by the pound, irrespective of whether or not you have meat or only vegetable curries on your tray.
We had 15 mins to chow before our movie started, so we both did not get a lot of food from the buffet. I picked small servings of a potato curry (similar to Aloo Gobi) and the Saag paneer, with some rice. My man got slightly more food than I and we both ordered nan to share, which ending up being two complete orders of nan that we paid for and half ate. My potato curry was completely cold. The rice was warm-ish. The nan was hot and tasty. If this was my first experience eating Indian food, I'd probably never try it again. I'm not a fan.
Best Indian food found in a mall. Heck, better than those in Little India on Newark. We always get the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Curry, Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi to take home. Very economical as every order is enough for 2 meals.
Its an Indian fast food in the mall. The food is not that great. I found the food to be bland.
The food is crap, service terrible and on top of it all the manager had an attitude. We bought samosas and potato wadas and the samosas were spoilt. The potato filling was slimy and had a spoilt taste. The manager upon confronting said this usually does not happen. What does he mean that it USUALLY does not happen. This place needs to be reported to the food health and safety department!
