  1. Customer service and employees here is awful. The pizza is sub par and nothing special. You are supposed to get 6 garlic knots but that depends on their mood. I will not go back here, too many other places out there.

  2. I came here for a quick lunch with my wife. We had time to kill as we were waiting for her tires to be changed at the ETD across the street.

There's a full restaurant but we just got a couple slices from the counter. They were nice enough to bring it out for us. I got the chicken parm and a Sicilian.Boo Boo got a buffalo chicken and gradma slice. They did not skimp on the chicken which is nice.

    Trusty yelp lead me here.

  3. Taste of Tuscany warmly welcomes you as soon as you walk through their door. It's like your part of their family. Place is great!  Super warm and friendly service!

The food is wonderful. We started out with a large garden salad ($6.75) and a large platter of lightly golden fried Calamari ($10.25). The Calamari had such a delicate taste to it. Much much better than high-end Italian restaurants. You could make a meal on this Calamari along with some bread. Speaking of bread, they always serve nice hot bread. They are always happy to give you more and more bread.
I had the Baked Ziti for an entrée. ($10.50). Fresh Mozzarella blanketed the ziti. It was very delicious. My cousin had an excellent Veal Piccatta ($16.25). Check out my pics!

Everything is timed nicely. Even when you have finished your meal, they don't rush you out. After your meal, you can continue to relax with your wine (BYOB) as if you were at home with your family and friends.

Place is very clean and there's lots of parking in the back. It's located in the back of the Styertowne not too far from Dunkin' Donuts.

I promise to be dining again with "The Taste of Tuscany family" very very soon!!!

  4. First time here and I must say it is a Great environment on how they are so friendly and welcoming!..it's located at a shopping plaza so plenty of parking, I'm greeted at the counter and I immediately knew what I wanted so I told the guy I want the penne bolognese…I sat myself at a table facing the tv, great atmosphere, food came out right away…first impressions was wow huge portions! …the meat sauce was fantastic, pasta was made just right…the dish was everything and more..after I ate I spoke to the guy at the register, very friendly, he asked how I liked my meal, and if it was the first time having it…I told him yes and we chatted a little, even gave me a free soda, I didn't realize everyday I drive by their other location heading to work until he told me when I braught up I was coming from work in Wayne and just yelped what I was interested at eating lol.. If this location is awesome I can bet his other locations are just as super! A must try for great Tuscany style Italian food

  5. Love this place…and I haven't even tried their pizza yet!

This place is literally a hidden gem. It's on the inside of the Modell's/AC Moore shopping center in Clifton right off of Route 3. I would have never found this place out if it wasn't for my mom suggesting it one day. The service is great, but beware it gets really busy on a Friday night!

Calamari – disappointing. Not enough to take a star away, but it wasn't very good. It was tough and not tasty. The waitress notice we barely touched it and she took it and removed it from the bill. Great customer service!

Chicken Valdostana – It's basically chicken marsala wrapped with spinach and mozzarella cheese covered with mushrooms and marsala sauce. Delicious!

Chicken Marsala – Also delicious, but on its own i noticed the marsala sauce was super sweet. I liked the Valdostana more than this dish.  (Both come with sides of pasta, which I substituted for broccoli).

House Salad with Italian dressing – fresh, loved the pickled roasted red peppers in it! Also the dressing tasted homemade, it was great. (I usually don't comment on a house salad so you know it was good).

Great dinner place, average pricing, good portions! If you're in the area, check this place out!

  6. Consistently good pizza, food, and service here.  Pizza slices are big and always have a lot of toppings.  Food is delicious, large portions, and also the prices here are very reasonable.

Its broken up into two sections, the front is for people who just want to quickly eat and go and its self service, and the section in the back is fully waitered.

If you are in the front the people in the kitchen or on the register will bring you your food.  You can grab your drinks in the fridge up front and pay and leave when you are done.

I have taken out food here and also used them for catering.  I haven't been disappointed yet, this is a solid spot.

  7. I really love the pizza here. It is some of the best pizza in the area. I usually get cheese pizza, but this time I tried the meatball pizza and it was delicious. They were generous with the pieces of meatball on each slice, the meatballs were not too garlic-y and were flavorful. I also like that they give you free garlic knots with each takeout order and those are tasty too. I have tried the pasta dishes here too and have never been disappointed. I think the prices are reasonable as well. This place can be difficult to spot since it is in the back of the shopping center and it is a pretty small place. There is plenty of parking though. There is a full dining room that is always packed every time I come in here for takeout. I have only ever gotten takeout from here, but would like to sit down and eat here sometime. The staff is always friendly when I come in to pick up my order and they always have my order ready right when I come in. I recommend this place to anyone looking for really great pizza or Italian food.

  8. I read great reviews of the Grandma's pizza on Yelp, so my husband and I decided to order one for dinner on Friday night.  He called in the order and we were told 15 minutes.  I arrived 15 minutes later.  When I told the girl I was picking up an order and gave her the name, she asked me what I ordered.  I told her a Grandma's pizza.  She asks someone and comes back and says, "With extra cheese?".  I said no.  She's like it'll be a few minutes.  Okay, fine, I can wait a few minutes, but then I see them first making a pizza and putting it in the oven.  I waited and waited and waited.  15 minutes later they hand me a pizza.  Really?  So you just first made my pizza when I got there?  So either a) you gave my pizza to someone else or b) you completely forgot to make my pizza.  Which makes for one unhappy customer.  I didn't say anything, but I wasn't pleased with waiting an additional 15 minutes since I had post dinner plans which I was now late for.

When we opened up the pizza box, we were less than pleased.  The pizza clearly had just come out of the oven and didn't have a chance to settle or cool at all before they boxed it.  The cheese slid off of several pieces.  So we tried to rearrange it as best as we could.  The crust was also on the thicker side.  Generally Grandma's pizza is a thinner crust.  We also found the flavor to be blander than other Grandma's pizzas we've had before.

Now, I don' t know if this is the norm for this place, or if my pizza just came out lousy because they were fast and dirty so to speak.  I was really looking forward to trying their food, and now I'm not sure I ever want to go back.
