dropped in for 2 americanos. one hot and one iced. the space is very open, lots of sun light. i take my coffee drinks black so i'm pretty used to the bitter taste and acidity but the espresso here is strong. and pretty acidic, which isn't really want i typically like but it was a lot of flavor. not my favorite cup of americano but it might be fantastic as a latte or macchiato. their desserts and pastries look YUM
This is great to come for tea, coffee, cookies, cupcakes, and panini sandwiches.
This place has a very relaxed atmosphere, with a friendly staff.
I love there chai tea & favored ice coffees. The red velvet cupcakes have great favor and very moist. The prices are good. About $4.00 for the coffee and teas, the cupcakes are around the same price.
Very clean, and this location is a little smaller then the other Tazza location I went too.
My fav thing is probably the Iced coffee and they have good pastries. The Sandwich menu is interesting/eclectic but sounds better than they taste.
Be careful with delivery, I ordered a vegetarian sandwich and got sent a turkey club instead.
Located in Brooklyn Heights, Tazza is one of the cutest coffee shops I've ever been to. This is the first time I go to any Tazza shop, so I'm not sure if they are all the same, but if they are, I'm definitely a fan. The shop has this rustic feel to it — the walls and decor are reminiscent of a small hipster coffee shop, and I truly enjoyed it. I was mostly surprised, in a good way, by the great variety offered here, from pastries to paninis to even pastas, thumbs up for that!
Service was good, food and coffee even better!
Nice place to duck in from out of the cold, even though it wasn't actually that warm inside. Large chocolate is served in nice big mugs, cool enough to drink right away, which I appreciated. It did seem like things were a bit disorganized behind the counter and I could see how it could get really bad during busy times, but there was never much of a line the whole time we sat there. Laptop use is restricted to the back, we saw plenty of age ranges came in from baby to old dude, and the staff were all very nice. 2 large hot chocolates ($3.25 each) + an amazing ding dong + okay cupcake = $13. The cupcake sounded really good – vanilla frangipane, almond custard buttercream, pastry puff flakes – but it didn't live up to its description (could it have?) It was a bit dry/stale and not that big. I did see them periodically putting out new stuff so maybe it was just the luck of the draw.
Extra points for literally being across the street from the subway.
Very good service. I'm always surprised when baristas smile. The service is also very good. Location wise it's right across the street from the 2 train and a few blocks from BKs promenade – great place to stop by after going to the promenade.
I had the large latte and also a mozzarella pesto panini with tamotos. Thus sandwich is crazy good. I mean roll on the floor type of good. I can't wait to go and have it again. Latte was good but I had better.
I'd come back to try more options.
This is a great addition to the neighborhood. I've always wanted to come here and got the opportunity today when my uncle came down from Westchester for Open House New York. The cafe is warm and cozy for a rainy Saturday morning. I really enjoyed the cappuccino and also the fluffy pancakes. I'll definitely be back.
Tazza is interesting, because it's a both a coffee shop and a bar. In theory this sounds amazing, but in execution it doesn't quite pull off either one perfectly.
I'll admit, there are always a good amount of people in Tazza on weekday mornings getting coffee before running across the street to the 2/3 Clark Street subway station. But it's pretty empty on the evenings. I went in here for some tea around 8pm on a Tuesday. It was very quiet, laid back, with two friendly staffers. It seems more professional than it's one-block-over competitor Vineapple. I like their mint tea, but if I'm going for an evening drink, Tazza never pops into my mind…
