This is a great, cheap burger joint if I've ever seen one. $6.25 for a burger, fries, and a drink plus unlimited toppings.
It's pretty damn greasy though- after finishing half, I feel disgusting.
Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try after seeing all the good reviews. Place is like a typical fast food joint, nothing too fancy.
Ordered 2 bacon cheeseburger, one with sweet potatoes fries and another with onion rings. The burger patties they claim to be never frozen. It does taste a little better than a typical fast food place but of course nowhere near the quality of shake shack. The sweet potatoes fries and onion rings were pretty good and better than average.
Prices are cheap. Service was fast. Will be back
Peggy's Burger house is really generous with the chicken sandwich! They give you two chicken patties in a sandwich which is crazy! Half of a sandwich usually fills me up. The cheese fries are really delicious as well (make sure to eat them fresh!) if you don't the fries are gonna be soggy in a few hours. I feel like I'm the only one on Yelp that enjoys fries soggy though. 'haha'
I'm starting to adore this place but l'm also a bit sad cause Peggy's Burger House is so out of my reach for just a lunch thing but the burgers here make me willing to make a trip. Gotta come back to try their regular burgers.
If not for yelp, there's no way I would've came here. The location feels shady and the storefront is not exactly welcoming. Once you step in, the burger smell just hits you in the face. Then you look at the menu and realize, holy crap, it's cheap!
We ordered cheeseburgers with sweet potato and curly fries. The beef is advertised as never frozen, but there's really no way to verify this. Once we ate the burgers, we realized the beef is nothing special and tastes like a typical fast food patty. What's nice about the burgers is that the toppings are all free, no questions asked and nothing refused. The fries are delicious and hot.
Oh, and the meals come with a drink. So to recap: burger with unlimited toppings, fries, and soda, all for less than 8 bucks. Go and get some!
For a cheap place, the food was pretty good. I had the bacon lettuce tomato and I must say it was fresh and tasty. I also ordered the french fries which were extremely crunchy, the way I like my fries. The strawberry milkshake topped it all off! Totally recommend this place if you're looking for a cheap yummy place near bensonhurst.
Remember when we were young, there was always one thing we thought was the coolest ever. and then when you get older, you think back "what was I doing?.."
Well thats Peggys for me. I remember during my baby years (high school era), I thought Peggys was mouth-watering! But now as I am older and explored my options of burgers, Peggys is an ordinary burger just tagged with a great price. The burger itself is good, but the cheese is evidence of a mediocre burger. As I continued to take more bites of the burger, the cheap american cheese taste wouldn't leave my mouth. Fries will always be good, greasy and crispy!
Though the burger isnt as glorious as I remember back then, thats not the reason why I took off a star. Usually its the owner, a young middle aged mom that is in the front. But i was greeted by a young teenage girl. Not the best service, I request a switch in fries but she denied it. However the mom gladly approved my request afterwards
Also if you guys havent tried the philly cheese steak yet, highly recommend it!
Chinese people doing burgers right! Prices are amazing for burgers, fries, and drink and of course the toppings that it can come with make it so well worth it. I've been here with my friends like twice a few months back but look forward to coming back here if i'm craving burgers.
Looking at Peggy's from the outside, you wouldn't think anything of it. Looking at Peggy's from the inside, you wouldn't think anything of it.
I trusted Yelpers in trying this place soley on the reviews and not the look. The burger was good, cheap and made me completely satisfied. I wanted to nap right after.
This is not a place for those on a diet. The burger is greasy, sloppy and messy. Trust me, that's a GOOD thing! The curly fries and unlimited refills were a nice addition to my cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mayo.
I left telling the girl in the front (Kelly) I chose Peggy's soley on Yelp. She thanked me and invited me back.
I said "oh yea, I will."
