Tea for the masses. Popped in here with a Teavana fiend, and tried four of the six teas that day brewed at the store. Overall it's an interesting take on tea, mixing different ingredients (chocolate mint tea, for instance) and fruits, so more a modern look at tea. Tea snobs looking for high grade leaf might be a little off-put by the popularization by overflavor/sugar, but it seemed to hit a note with those in the store.
Somehow I feel like this is the Americanized version of TenRen Tea in Chinatown, a place where I can get teas that are not-quite teas – fruity mixes or different flavors, especially for the price where I could get a great cup of oolong or white tea for in other tea shops. At $15+/few ounces, it can be expensive depending on which one you like. Good thing is, you can get your tea paraphernalia here, too, though – lots of custom cups, brewers, etc. And they always have a lot of samples. Though after the second sample (a gingerbread tea), it was tough to taste the rest of them.
