Their iced tea is like crack to me! I just purchased berry kiwi colada for the summer time.
Henry, the sales assistant, is very helpful…and of course and great salesperson. But i don't mind because i couldn't be more happy with my hot/cold tea pitcher. He taught me how to steep sangria using tea leaves. Which now, will be my go to beverage of choice. (In case you are wondering:1/4 cup tea, 1/8 or 1/4 c. of rock sugar, and 1 bottle of wine, add club soda to glass, and some frozen fruit for garnish!)
Manhattan is seemingly designed nowadays to bury you in coffee. There's Starbucks and a ton of other coffee places – but what about tea? One answer is Teavana. Currently owned by Starbucks, this chain has over 400 locations and one of them is in the Upper West Side.
The lure of this store is instant. Outside the store are usually two containers of hot and cold teas for you to sample. I can honestly say I've never had one of these samples and been disappointed. This draws you into the store, which is *not* at all like a Starbucks. Instead, there are a lot of accessories revolving around tea including kettles, cups, infusers and more. It takes some time to absorb it all, so take your time. Note: there are usually one or two *more* samples for you to try inside the store.
Aside from the accessories, you can by tea by the pound. Now, this isn't Lipton tea bags we're talking about here. You're going to pay a pretty hefty price for these specialty teas so brace yourself and be sure you ask about prices first! I think some of the flavors are definitely worth it.
In addition to all this, you can order tea to go. There's nowhere to sit and enjoy it however. What's nice is the tea is usually made to order so you know it's freshly steeped.
I really enjoy visiting this Teavana location and recommend you check it out too.
Teavana is clearly a chain and they've recently opened up a location on the Upper West Side. They have a wide variety of products and the regular teas.
The customer service is great: a few weeks ago I got a tea to go and jumped on a train downtown before it cooled down enough to drink. I started to sip it and proceeded to throw it out because it was way too sugary. I was too far away (and too lazy) to bring it back. The following week, I went back to this location, told them what happened and they replaced it, no questions asked (I didn't even have my receipt).
I also like how Teavana diversified with their UES and UWS location.

Teavana with a Starbucks vibe. Love the tea, love the sophistication, love the cleanliness, love the ambiance. Can't wait to have one in Phoenix!!!!
