  1. This is the closest Thai food place near Mount Sinai, so of course I'm going to visit here more often (don't stalk me).

    – Cash only
    – The spicy dishes are REALLY spicy, just FYI…
    – Lunch special for $8+, includes your choice of appetizer and entree
    – the fried dumplings are SO good (too bad it only comes with 2)
    – the spring rolls have thin crispy skin, fried to perfection
    – Green curry!
    – Pad see ew is good, but my beef was a bit dry
    – Some seating but order ahead if you don't want to deal with the crowds of high school students from nearby. Unless you're one of them, then my bad…

  2. I came here for lunch one day. They have a great lunch special. You have a choice of appetizer and entree for $7.95. Not a bad deal at all.

    Appetizers
    Edamame
    Chicken dumplings
    Thai salad
(And couple other things I can't remember)

    Entree
    Basil fried rice
    A whole buncha different curry
A whole buncha the flat fat noodles lol
    Pad Thai!

The place is tinyyyyyyyyyyy. I wouldn't recommend eating there, but they do have seats that can hold about 8 people I wanna say. The food took a little long about 20 mins. I understood why when I started eating it. Ugh so fresh guys, I ordered the spicy basil fried rice and it was just the right level of spicy and seasoning. I didn't even have to put any soy sauce or pepper on the rice. That's rare to find. There was some veggies, but it wasn't overwhelming. The veggies were added in the end , they were so crunchy! You get a very big container of rice, I couldn't even finish all.

I will def come back here, I believe you can order through Yelp? I recommend ordering before you come. Great lunch spot.

  3. They have a lunch special for $7.95 which is an awesome deal when you're craving thai food in the area.

For their appetizers I've only had their thai salad which is good, nothing crazy. I've had their red curry, green curry, and garlic chicken and they're all great as well. And their thai iced tea is awesome, never too sweet.

It's a very small location, so if you're dining in during lunch hour, expect to come out smelling like thai food.

  4. Went here to grab a bite to eat for lunch on a weekday. The place was pretty crowded, but I was able to place my order after a couple of other patrons.

I decided to go with the pad see ew with chicken. The dish itself was a decent portion, but I felt that the flavor was very underwhelming. Even the noodles seemed to be a bit lackluster and there wasn't much chicken to boot.

Though the price is right and food comes out quickly, the flavor and quality didn't impress.

  5. This place is brand new and I was sad when it replaced Falafel Express, but now  I am very excited as the employees of Mount Sinai have a new food place to enjoy. Sorry, but theres plenty of Falafel carts in the area already.

Anyways, this place is brand new but I THINK its affiliated with other Thai place as their menu has a different name than the actual restaurant. To the food: They offered the lunch special (even on a Saturday!) and it was great. Your choice of lots of entrees and an "appetizer." I got the Pad See Ew which was very good and two medium sized spring rolls. For $8, the amount of food was more than enough (could have been two meals, but it was good enough that I ate it all in one sitting).

I recommend it mostly for take-out as the facility is small and there isn't much seating and at rush hour you'll probably be annoyed of people waiting in line. (Its also on Eat24 and you can order delivery).

They have a hot sauce thats pretty good.

My biggest endorsement is that I will definitely be back and it will likely become my favorite lunch in the area (why waste tons of money on the Thai truck for okay Thai food for less money for good Thai food here).

  6. Mediocre Thai food. They never make my food as spicy as I want it to be despite multiple attempts of me asking them to, so they're not my favorite. My go to is the pad see ew lunch special which is a good portion and comes with an app for $8+tax.

  7. A breath of fresh air in this food desert of a neighborhood! I'm sure Thai Wok would only receive three or four stars if it existed in the East Village, but I am more than happy to have an Asian restaurant in this hood. It appears to be run by actual Thais, which gives credibility to their claim to authenticity. I came here for dinner, but the lunch specials look great – $7.95 for an appetizer and an entree, Monday through Sunday?

I got myself a pineapple cashew fried rice. It was prepared quickly, and the rice was peppery and sticky and flavorful, and all the ingredients in the dish was done well too – lightly caramelized onions, still-plump cherry tomatoes, sliced carrots with bite, seasoned chicken slices… Quite enjoyable indeed.

The taro bubble tea was a little eh, and tastes quite artificial, but I guess this isn't a bubble tea place so I can't be making those comparisons.
