The Avenue Restaurant

“Worth checking out during one of there special nights like 25cent wings on wed or prime rib on thursday's.”

“The dining area is a bit small and isolated from the bar (which helps the noise levels when you are there with the family).”

“There are just four things on the Lithuanian brunch menu (and yes, they always have non-Lithuanian brunch…”

  1. I have had this place on my agenda for over a year and so sorry I waited so long to get here especially since it's so close to home. With all that having been said both my friend and I was in the mood for Buffalo wings, Burger and fries and decided to stop in on a Saturday Evening and it was the best decision we made for the day.

We were immediately greeted and shown to the dining area which is A-OK, the dining area is modern, clean, warm lighting and very inviting, they have a few flat screen TV's angled so which ever direction your sitting in you will have clear visibility to whats playing and not that we were there for TV but noted for sports fan enthusiasts and other customers who plan on doing family dining. There was a family dining there with small children that evening and the TV viewing for their table was set to play family friendly stories while the other TV's showed different programming. Something everyone could appreciate if that's your thing.

OK, so now let's talk about the food & Drinks

We started off with Tequila Sunrise beverages that both my friend and I agreed were well made, meaning right amount of alcohol and priced right at $6 bucks.

We ordered buffalo wings of which they have several levels of Mild to extremely Hot Sauces you can choose from however we went with the standard Hot and again this was a home run on the wings! These were the best Buffalo Wings I've had in years, no special or extra crunchy coatings added just wings done right and the sauce has that traditional buffalo wings hot sauce flavor not all the fancy smancy stuff places are coating on wings today.

    Burger Heaven…

I ordered the Signature Sauce Burger which came with a sizable portion of steak fries and priced @ $11. The burger was huge, juicy and again done right with sauteed onions, cheddar cheese & bacon who's complaining!

My friend ordered the Avenue Burger – which comes with sauteed onions, chipotle aioli, cherry peppers and steak fries and it's a winner same as above fresh, juicy and delicious!

Our server was on point, attentive and friendly and with all that having been said we are definitely fans of the Avenue restaurant although we haven't tried a whole lot of their menu, we both agreed we will become regulars here.

I also like the fact that they have Karaoke every Saturday starting at 10:00 pm & every Wednesday they offer 25 cents Buffalo Wings providing you dine in and I think with a two drink minimum which is easy to do for me and not bad at all & serve Brunch on Sundays.

The Atmosphere, highly attentive customer service, Burgers, Drinks, 25 cents Wednesday Wings, Karaoke @ 10pm on Saturdays & Brunch on Sundays scores the Avenue a high 5 in my experience and opinion!

  2. Came here for a catered event in their basement party room. We were a group of about 50 and it was very tight. Hard to maneuver around because of how small and tight it was. Food was decent. Parking can be tough. Staff was friendly.

  3. This is the perfect candidate for that show, Bar Rescue!

When you walk in there's a pretty big bar area with a few tables around it. Walking to the bar of the restaurant leads you to its dining area. The decor is outdated and kind of run down. Definitely time for an  update or at least a new look.

The food is nothing  special. I went with the fish tacos when we stopped in for  football. The tacos were rather bland wrapped in a tortilla with lettuce and a sauce that I couldn't figure out. The tacos were supposed to come with jalapeño coleslaw but it didn't. Instead it was lettuce and tomatoes with some kind of watery dressing. Very disappointing.

The two stars are for the bartender and beer. I don't know her name, but the bartender was friendly, nice, and attentive. I'm pretty sure the only time I'd be back was if there was a snow storm and this place happened to be open.

  4. Came here for a Paint Nite last Friday as part of my birthday celebrations. The teacher Myla was amazing and so helpful (I know she isn't employed by The Avenue but just wanted to mention in case someone is doing a PaintNite event here). My party of 3 arrived a little early we were immediately greeted by the bartenders which is always nice. We each ordered a glass of wine. And were given prompt attention. We were hungry so we asked the hostess for a menu. She informed us we would be cutting it close if we sat down to eat before the event began but did let us know a waitress would be working the PaintNite Event.

I wish I could remember the name of the waitress because she was great and very attentive. These events can get crowded and she worked the room well.

Enough about the place let's discuss food. My two friends and I ordered the following: Chicken Quesadillas, Boneless Buffalo Wings, Mozzarella Sticks and, Macaroni and Cheese.

The Quesadillas were great enough cheese and chicken with just the perfectly crisped tortillas and the real surprise – BACON inside !

Boneless Buffalo wings are large in size. They are more so chicken tenders. 4 come in an order and they have a great array of sauces to use. We chose a honey BBQ sauce that I could not get enough of.

The mozzarella sticks were good. Typical bar food with marinara sauce for dipping. Wouldn't complain but wouldn't be my first choice again. The mozzarella sticks were subbed in for our original choice of broccoli cheddar bites which unfortunately they had ran out of.

Last but definitely not least was the star of the show – the Mac and Cheese. The pasta was perfectly cooked penne. The sauce was a blend of 3 cheeses. It was topped with, you guessed it, bacon. It was creamy and delicious. We raved about it all night.

I would definitely go back to The Avenue to eat or for another painting event. It is not extremely close to my house so it wouldn't be my bar of choice but if you are in the area you should go check this place out.
