The Beer Spot and Grill
“The beer selection is very impressive and if your lucky enough to get (Dave) he can tell you all about the beers and has excellent recommendations.”
“2nd time here and I will keep coming back!”
“So it's obvious from the name that they have a great beer selection, but thankfully their food menu is pretty off the chain too!”

For a Friday night this place was dead. There were a few people at the bar and even fewer dining in. The choice of music was awful and the place had no ambience. Enough to put a person to sleep. I ordered the wings (sweet and tangy and honey chipotle), which were on point; crispy with just enough sauce. However, my burger was another story. It was dry (I asked for it to be cooked medium). Enough said; DRY. The side of fries was okay. They do have a very large selection of beers, which I didn't try. If they want to compete with NY wing factory they need to step their game up big time. The place does have potential. Lastly, street parking was limited.
This is a great sports bar/gastropub. The place is lined with tv's wall to wall. I came here for Sunday Fun Day to watch some football and try out their beer and food. I was not disappointed. Their craft beer variety is excellent and their food options were great too. The crowd was mixed with young and old people and the vibe felt just right for football. Will definitely come back again.
I cannot believe this place has so many good reviews bc my experience was a joke!
My bf & I came here Saturday night with another couple and it was packed to the brim. They had literally ONE SERVER working on a weekend! We had to wait at least 15 mins to put in our drink orders. Y u so understaffed?!
The server came back twice bc she forgot what we had ordered. The mango cocktails must have had one drop of liquor each. Felt like a bitch but had to send these back. We also ordered boneless wings but received on the bone. They gave us the boneless wings on the house which I appreciated. Portions are on the small side but prices are def cheaper than the bars in this area.
Aside from the service and food, I could not deal with how loud it was inside. Every TV must have been on full volume (mind you, the wall is PLASTERED with TV's) and it was giving me suchhh a headache…
Safe to say I won't be returning. You are not my cup of tea, Beer Spot and Grill.
Decided to check out THE BEER SPOT AND GRILL since they were hosting a Smuttynose tap takeover this Friday.
The place has a good vibe: sports bar type with tons of tv's , large bar, high tables and then a bunch of large tables . When it's nice out they have a large deck with seating as well.
Our waiter Abraham was awesome . He was on top of his game , getting all our beers and food out in a timely manor , gave us a free round of beers when the bar staff mixed the orders , and got the Smuttynose rep to come over and give us free merchandise: hats , bottle openers , and t-shirts.
So now onto the menu. We came for the beer but had just as good of an experience with the food . Everything came out perfect and seemed really fresh . Here are some of the things we had ( pictures attached ) and I recommend ALL of them : fish tacos , IPA beer battered pickles, mini pretzel buns filled with Philly cheesesteak ( totally tasted like a fancier White Castle burger !!!!) , bacon Mac and cheese with fried pork skins on top, vegetable soup ( so fresh with huge chunk of vegs including kale) , and for the main event …… Huge burger topped with Mac and cheese and root beer caramelized onions on a beauty Bun.
If your not a craft beer lover come here anyways because the food was just as good and they have a good cocktail list as well . Looking forward to come back !
Erick is the man! Such a breath of fresh air to have a bartender who knows what he's doing. We have been a couple times now after meeting him.
Beer is definitely what you want to be drinking here. Lots of craft varieties to choose from served at perfect temperature for each style and proper glassware.
They have cool events that they post on their FB page including daily specials and a happy hour. Cannot say too much about food since all we do is drink when we are there so will save that for an update.
Great place to meet friends, grab a beer and watch sports.
I'm glad this place is open cause it's a nice alternative to Wing Factory which before this place opened, was the only place nearby that had a good selection of craft beer.
The plus is that the beers are about $1 cheaper per pint across the board and they also give out pitchers as well. They have a pretty good food menu and the food actually tastes like quality food! I would have given this place 5 stars except they got rid of their daily food specials which were fantastic. On Mondays they had 1/2 price appetizers which was a sick deal and a definite upgrade from the half-price apps everyone goes to Applebees for.
They have plenty of TVs in there which is great for any sports fan but it is really loud in there so don't expect to go there and have any sort of productive conversations.
Service is a bit slow and lacking but it's cause usually they only have one server working the floor.
Overall, I'm glad this place is around but I still think work needs to be done before I start going here over consistently over Wing Factory.
I went to this bar to grab a couple drinks with some friends. I was pleasantly surprised with the large selection of beers and the excellent service. My friend and i were looking for an alternative our local bar and we found it. This place is also a club on the weekends, but i believe the main floor remains a bar. The prices at this bar are VERY reasonable and the bartenders are very personable. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking to watch a game and enjoy a drink. I must note that the bartender was patient with us and gave us several samples in order to get a good beer that fits our particular preference.
I would rate The Beer Spot and Grill as follows: Drinks 4 Stars, Price 4 Stars, Service 5 Stars and Atmosphere 5 Stars.

What a cool place! My sister comes here a lot. We had food and drinks. Waiter was Dave, really nice guy and great server! We were on the back patio but once the sun goes down it gets really chilly so we moved inside. I had a steak quinoa salad- it was pretty good! I thought it could use another level of dimension with some sort of nut or crunch to it but otherwise steak was cooked well and salad was good. The burgers all looked to die for. Steak sandwich was a hit and the French dip sandwich as well. Ill probably go back and order something a little more baresk next time- just felt like the other dishes blew away the salad I was eating. No harm no foul- beer selection was fantastic and atmosphere was good too. I'll be back with an update over the summer sometime 🙂
