  1. The Beastmode Burger Deluxe is a gutbomb of the highest order.

It's an ancho chili seitan burger grilled in maple bourbon bbq sauce with jalapeño mac 'n' cheese, arugula, smoked chili coconut bacon, and chipotle mayo on a grilled pretzel bun. And it tastes good. Follow it up with some EXCELLENT doughnuts (tons of flavors, beautifully made…I liked the almond one the best), and you've got yourself a nice lunch.

Is this how all vegans eat? I could be a vegan.*

  2. Went back for lunch and I wanted to make a point to update my review.  Server was really very nice and cheery, he was a lot different than the 1st two, as was the girl handing out the orders.  I got a tempeh sammy and the flavors (as expected) were reedik good.  I wish they had a bit more on the menu, but I assume being in a food court location, less is best.  I may have to run back over for a dessert later or tomorrow.  I am happy they made the cashier changes, I just like to see people eat diversely and not feel silly because they don't KNOW some detail that someone else lives by.  Good job!!

  3. Not really a big vegan or vegetarian foodie but I decided to try the pastries here and see what the big deal was. These are definitely some interesting donuts. My girlfriend and I did not have time to sit down for the food so we grabbed some donuts and hit the road.

The thai basil coconut donut was healthily delicious, all the things you want a doughnut without the regret. It was probably the most unique donut I have had and the only vegan donut I have ever had.

I am not one to discriminate against donuts, I love donuts of all kind. This donut was one of those cool donuts that doesn't hang out with its greasy doughy buddies. However, I think maybe we went a little late and the donuts were sitting around for a while. I think it would be best to go early and get them while they are fresh. But that flavor is on point!

  4. Located inside of the new food court outside Penn station. Awesome vegetarian food for even us non vegetarians. I had a bbq burger on a yummy soft pretzel roll and stuffed with veggies. The staff was super nice and the seating area is gorgeous.

  5. The truck is BACK! Yesss. I had a maple pancake doughnut – so good – and the Korean barbecue seitan wrap with kimchi, which I wanted to like but it was too spicy for me. Will stick to their more mild sandwich options. Anyway, spice lovers will dig it. Friendly people running the truck as always, and it's parked right outside my office, so goodbye, $$$$.

  6. Yes.

THIS is what plant-based food looks like.

I've spent so much time as a vegetarian rolling my eyes at omnivores asking me what I eat or where I get my protein from,  blah blah blah enter-cliche-question-here. And then places like The Cinnamon Snail come along and you're like… Hey, THIS is what I eat, dorks. This is how I get my protein. Duh.

    I've had:
+ Maple Mustard Tempeh Sandwich (grilled spelt bread with roasted garlic aioli, marinated kale, tomato, and onion) – no, I'm not making friends after eating this, but I don't care. I also don't care how ridiculous I looked eating it. It was delish. And I so appreciated that the tempeh was just a big slab of it and not strips.
+ The donuts… I may have tried bites of ten or twelve different flavors. Yolo. My favorite? The chocolate and raspberry topped one. I regret sharing (kindergarten rules don't apply when food is involved).

I'd like to try literally (as in literally, not figuratively) everything else on the menu –  specifically the Beastmode Burger Deluxe (an ancho chili seitan burger grilled in maple boubon bbq sauce with jalapeno mac and cheese, arugula, smoked chili coconut bacon, and chipotle mayo on a grilled pretzel bun – I didn't get it because I was scared of how hot it would be). But alas, I'm from away, and will probably not get that chance. But at least I have this place in my back pocket for the next time I'm in the city.

In conclusion… Thanks, Cinnamon Snail, for helping those pesky omnivores realize just how good we herbivores really have it.

  7. I had the maple bacon doughnut, the lemon Meyer twist, the cinnamon twist, the passion fruit doughnut, and the bourbon doughnut. Everything I got was pretty mediocre. Nothing struck me as, "wow, this is excellent!" The passion fruit doughnut was too tart, but the only one I really did not like was the maple bacon doughnut. That one tasted really meaty. Not a touch of bacon flavor, like other maple bacon doughnuts, but straight up pork flavor. Pretty gross. Not worth a second visit.

  8. I have been dying, DYING to try this place. I find out about it when it was a food truck but this was around the time they were starting the brick and mortar shop in The Pennsy. Finally, I was near Penn Station and I knew it was my chance. It lived up to every hope and dream I could have imagined. I got the special of the week which was a tofu sandwich with a lemon vinaigrette and a garlic aioli on a pretzel bun.  It. Was. Ah. May. Zing. SO flavorful and delicious and incredibly filling. I got a cinnamon donut and it was also amazing. Such great vegan baked goods. They have sandwiches both closed and open faced. These can be turned into a bowl with quinoa at your request. This place was amazing and I can't wait to come back and get something else here to eat. So delicious!
