  1. I've had such mixed experiences at Clubhouse that it's difficult to give a fair rating.

Drinks are a hit or a miss. The first time I went was during happy hour and the place was basically empty. Everything was super cheap – well drinks around $3 to $4 and half off appetizers. Drinks were fairly strong, even at such cheap prices. The bartender even made us mojitos at that price. At the next few visits, however, the drinks were so mehhh that I've no longer want to go back. I guess it may be because I'm ordering drinks off their specials menu and I understand that they're cheap but geeeeesh, did it really have to taste so bad? And it be obvious that there was barely any alcohol. One time, I gave both the red and white sangria a try but now I know to stay away from both. I guess if you want consistency, go for the beer. Or pay full price for liquor.

The two things that salvage the place for me are the appetizers and the atmosphere. There's trivia on Thursday nights at 8pm. People are friendly. There's often beer pong or ping pong set up. However, it hasn't been enough for me to want to go back. A pity since I live pretty darn close by. They do have a little outdoor patio area which will be nice now that it's summer.

  2. I came here wanting to see what all the hype was about in reference to the chicken sampler…I have to say I wasn't really impressed. Everything else was fine but I wasn't crazy for the chicken. Service as good and its a good place to hangout after work or on a weekend.

  3. After a night out bowling, I was very hungry and found this place on Yelp. I'm very happy I did.

I came in around 10 after bowling and sat at the bar. There was only a group of 4 in at the time when I arrived, which I seemed alarmed about but then again, it was like a Tuesday or whatever.

We ordered our drinks with the bartender (Jose I think his name was) and he was very friendly and held great conversation with us the whole time. He suggested what we should order and gave us his true opinion and we were very satisfied.

The sliders I ordered medium but came out more like well done but still were very good. The loaded potato skins, I highly enjoyed because they weren't greasy at all and the onion rings were exceptionally good.

My only problem which takes away a 5star is the wings. They are good, at a limit but having too much just upsets my stomach as they are drenched in sauce that is very thick. But to each, his own. And I will be definitely be returning again to try out some of the other dishes.

  4. Pre-gaming for mini golf is a thing, guys! Grabbed some midday boozy brunch with bae at this cozy little restaurant/bar before we hit the course. Surprisingly solid craft beer selection and hipster waiters? My first thought was, "This can't be New Hyde Park.."

Their quinoa avocado salad and tater tots made very good appetizers! And while my partner seemed quite pleased with his bacon cheeseburger, my lobster eggs benedict fell short on expectations but was tasty nonetheless. Overall, a pretty good experience. They even have a cute little photo booth in their outdoor area!

  5. A true diamond in the rough. I am immediately enamored with this restaurant after only one visit. Certainly a great place to stop for a cold brew after you've hit a bucket of balls or even better to drop in and have a quick bite and a cold one.
The environment is modern and welcoming and the staff is very attentive. They have a very good beer selection as well as a comprehensive yet not overwhelming menu.
I went with the suggestion of one of the staff, the fish tacos. Lightly breaded and fried these pieces of cod are both crunchy as well as light and delicious. They come topped with a delicious homemade slaw and Sriracha mayo.
I also tried the wings. I chose mango habanero sauce and it was outstanding. Tangy and sweet at the beginning and then a good dose of heat towards the end. The wings were decent and meaty and cooked perfectly.
I finished my meal with three Samuel Adams Summer ale's. I would highly recommend you visit this place whether you are golfing or not

  6. Last night, I took a trip here for some dinner with my mother. This was my second entry to The Clubhouse and it seemed very close to my first experience (which was good). The place has a laid back feel and you get the vibe that there are some regulars that frequent here (I mean if ya play golf in the center, it's not a bad idea to stop in for a beer for a bit, which they have a good selection to choose from). The regulars were a little rowdy, but you do also get the vibe that The Clubhouse knows how to party on. Turning to the food, for an appetizer we split wings tossed in a jalapeño bacon ranch sauce. They weren't too large or spicy, but pretty tasty and did the job for an appetizer. For the main entrees, she had the kimchi tacos (which she found delectable) and I dined on the Louisiana burger (with a side of sweet potato fries). The burger was topped with roasted red peppers, onions, gorgonzola cheese, and a Louisiana sauce. It was cooked perfectly and aside from a little richness from the cheese, the toppings complimented each other very well. Overall, I'd definitely continue to return to The Clubhouse for more good food (and maybe some of that fun they seem to have).

  7. I wanted to try out a new brunch place with the family.  I was concerned of how the group would feel knowing the place was located in a golf driving range.  Don't be.  This place as others have mentioned is a hidden gem.  It is very different from anything else in the area as far as the environment goes.

We came for brunch and I'm normally always an egg incorporated in my meal type of guy for a brunch setting.  However that morning I was feeling different and the fluffy cinnamon toast sounded too good to pass up.  It delivered (it didn't hurt that I ordered a side of bacon).  Washing it down with a very good mimosa is the optimal way to go.  The rest of the family was very happy with their dishes.  My lovely mom can be tough to please, but she loved her huevos racnheros.

The staff was very accommodating with our younger guests and overall they were great.  The "boozy brunch" seems like a great deal ($25 unlimited brunch drinks, bread basket and an entrée).  The lunch/dinner menu looked excellent too (samosas & watermelon shrimp civiche especially).  The restaurant itself has a patio seating area (it was still a bit chilly to use) and all the doors slide open to their patio/deck area.  It really makes the place inviting and a cool spot to grab some food and drinks.  They have a trivia night and I think I even saw a beer pong table, haha.

    Looking forward to returning.

  8. They sometimes have a $20 deal for unlimited wings and beer. I can't lie, the Parmesan garlic wings are some of THE BEST WINGS I HAVE EVER HAD

    WINGS:
The Parmesan garlic sauce is finger-licking good. They used to shave fresh Parmesan slices over the wings too and it blew me away. I'm not sure why they stopped.

    CLUBHOUSE CREATION
Apple wood-smoked bacon cheeseburger on a brioche bun, caramelized onions and some bqb sauce – it's delicious

    LOCATION
This is right next to the driving range and mini golf course, so it's really well-placed and convenient after a game.

    PATIO
In the summertime, there's nothing better than sitting outside in the sun with a cool breeze eating a burger. There are ample tables and umbrellas!

    BEER
They have a pretty pathetic (sorry!) craft beer selection: Goose IPA and Blue Point Blueberry. Please add more! They need to fix this as many places in Mineola a town over are killing it in this department

    STAFF
All of the staff are super friendly and really elevate your experience.
