I went here twice on a Friday and Sat night/early morning in March. The 1st time, I just had dessert and tea. I ordered the pound cake and it was stale. The waiter even knew it was stale. When he brought it over he said it looked stale and that he wanted me to try it out while he stood there and watched. My question was, if you had an assumption that the cake was stale, why serve it. Also, why do I look like I should be the guinea pig. SMH. I ended up sharing the carrot cake with my Beau and it was just okay. The carrot cake was filled with more cream in the middle than actual cake. HA! Keep in mind the waiter bragged about how they make the baked goods in house. Nothing I would be bragging publicly about. Lol! Anyway, I gave them a 2 because on our 2nd visit, I had an omelet wrap and it was pretty good. The eggs were real and not that fake stuff like IHOP serves.

NOTE: They automatically include a tip in your tab, no matter your party size (2 or 10) is because they feel like they don't get paid enough tips by the customers who come in during the late night. The Manager told us this. Of course you always have the options to leave whatever tip you want to pay them. That policy should be revisited by management.

Pretty average for a diner with decent service.

It's not a horrible Diner like some people view it. What do you expect when you walk-in the diners? This is not "one if by land, two if by see" ok. Heard that it will be closing soon. I believe they're in business for 50 years. I started coming here 2 years ago but many years prior I was told that it was a good breakfast place. My mother-in-law and her family visited this Diner for breakfast and lunch before. Whatever the case is, I did enjoy my sardine on rye toast here. I would order it with lettuce and tomato. I've tried their vegetable omelette and I must say they make it quite well at this Diner. Well, of course it's not with organic eggs but since I only eat organic eggs at home, I could and don't mind switching to eggs from outside once in a blue moon. No harm there. Waiters and waitresses are ok, no problem. Wonder how the workers will go through the transition, could be tough and I wish them well. You should try it before they close the business completely. Just relax and enjoy your breakfast.

Listen, beggers cant be choosers, right? So, when you're friend who has a car says "Im hungry, My treat!" you hop in the car, shut the hell up and eat where they pay for you to eat (and pray you dont die from it)
The choice was Flagship because it was closeby.
Upon entering the establishment No one said a word to us about the fact that they werent takin credit cards that night…. a grump patron on her way to the ATM  told us.
I wasnt terribly hungry. So i ordered a hot chocolate.
    and then a bagel.
    and a side of grits…
    and some sausage.
    which was all very random.
I really just wanted a bagel. But my friend was paying. I couldnt let her down. So i did my best to order somethign substantial.
The grits were okay. In terrible need of salt and butter. and come to think of it- they coulda used some water too.
The sausage was sliced in half (to cook faster i guess) and the result was dry sausage (what a sin!)
The bagel was decent. But seriously, how do you mess up a bagel?
The hot chocolate was rich and frothy like it came out of a machine. No complaints there – i really wanted a hot chocolate.
The waiter was confused. And the diner itself looked dingy.
I shouldnt complain TOO much since, well, it was free. And I ate it.
    TAKE ME TO TOWER!

There are much better diners to eat around here. The servers are good even though they didn't understand me too good. Not the problem though. It's your typical diner food. Nothing special although their roast beef was actually pretty good but my burger was well done when I said medium. Not sure if they even know the difference here. It was a last minute decision to come here but next time I think I'll go elsewhere.

It's a hit or miss with what you order here. If you're craving shitty diner food to cure a hangover or to sober yourself up after a long night of drinking, this is the place. My family and I have been coming here for years due to it being an alternative to IHOP's insanely long lines.

    Don't expect anything special here.

Say what you will about Flagship's food (your expectations are already too high if you're complaining about the food), but the staff is pretty damn accomodating given the fact that it's late at night and most customers around this time are still on a boisterous high from their night out on the town. My friends and I are no different – and we appreciate the patience exhibited by the late night staff. Yeah, we're loud and we linger and we drink a lot of water but we also tip well!

If I worked the graveyard shift at a diner and had to deal with snotty drunkards on a weekly basis, I'd probably not make it past the first weekend.

Back to the food though, what the heck are you bitchin' about, people? If you're not coming here for fried food, burgers, breakfast fare, or other typical diner food, you should consider going elsewhere. Want a Bacon Cheese Burger? Disco Fries? Eggs over easy? Lots of Ketchup? Flagship's got it. Flagship's got it good.

Skip the onion rings though… they deserve 2 stars.

Want a Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap? Drive over to Trader Joe's parking lot on Metropolitan Ave and take a nap in your car.

Flagship to me is a staple of living in Briarwood. I've eaten at this place my entire life growing up in Queens. Whether it is dinning in, taking out or even getting delivery, their food is decent.  Don't get me wrong, I don't go to Flagship expecting amazing food, I go there because its a local place that has good customer service and average diner food. Sometimes, however it can be a hit or miss. They have made mistakes and might mess up your food but they quickly fix the issue. I've never had bad customer service when I dined in and their take out and/or delivery service is pretty good. When my food is delivered, it always arrives hot. All in all, Flagship is a local diner in Briarwood that has decent diner food and good customer service and I will continue to visit when I am in my old neighborhood.
