  1. The supermarket that made both Kings and Whole Foods look like affordable options…

Very clean and well laid out.  Friendly staff.

They don't offer very much here that you can't find elsewhere at a more affordable price point.  If you're wondering why this place is so empty at most hours of business, this is your reason.

The quality of their meat and seafood is no better than Kings, Whole Foods or even Shop Rite.

Their baked goods are hit and miss.  The donuts were terrible.  The mini cupcakes were merely fine.  The brownies were actually quite good.

This place is just too inconsistent and overpriced for me to become a regular.  I'd rather stock up at Shop Rite and supplement at Trader Joe's.

  2. The store is very cute but also very expensive. I come here for one thing and one thing only witches tortillas that are brought in from California. This is the only place where you can get this brand of tortilla and it is worth the trip just for this item. However the rest of the store is comparable to whole foods but a bit smaller. Across the street is the Route 10 farmers market which is a much better value for great produce

  3. Love Love love it! It's the kind of market you walk into for a, "few" items and end up leaving with a full basket! So many wonderful things to buy. All the prepared foods I've had have been tip top! I love their bakery and the cheddar cheese pop overs are to die for! Reasonable prices to boot.

  4. Fresh Market is great. It's sort of like an upscale Whole Foods just in case Whole Foods isn't upscale enough for you. The assortment and variety isn't quite as good and there isn't nearly as much prepared food but I like the layout and selection a whole lot more. This is more food boutique than food store. It's also never busy, due mostly to it being off the beaten path, per se. If they were centrally located in the middle of Livingston or elsewhere they would crush. Miles above King's and even Trader Joe. Prices are even a bit lower than I anticipated, especially given the quality. Love this place. Just hope they stick around for a while because, like I said, they're never crowded but they really should be.
