The Good Batch

“Look for them at the Smorgasburg and Celebrate Brooklyn or check out their website so you can see what's on the menu each week.”

“I got the "Goodwich," which was vanilla ice cream between two oat chocolate chunk cookies with sea salt and a bit of hard chocolate fudge around the edges.”

“Some people are knocking the Stroopwafels, which I find a little odd, but whatever.”

  1. I have seen so many great reviews about The Good Batch on Yelp….I have also seen fantastic pictures of delicious looking desserts that others have posted on Yelp from this place so I decided that I was going today.

Excitement came over me as I left work and got on the bus to go to The Good Batch and try one of their ice cream sandwiches. As I walked inside of The Good Batch, I was in awe of the wonderful selections of cookies, ice cream sandwiches etc. After much deliberating (because it takes me way too long to decide when there are so many glorious options), I finally decided to order the $5 Mini Caramel Brownie Crunch Ice Cream Sandwich. The Caramel Brownie Crunch Ice Cream Sandwich was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The Brownie cookie on the outside perfectly complimented the vanilla ice cream on the inside…. I took my time enjoying this delicious dessert and was almost tempted to purchase another one!

I thanked the polite, gracious women behind the cash register that provided me with excellent service. I will be back soon to try the Crispy Ice Cream Sandwich  (with rice crispies and vanilla ice cream) as well as the other baked items!

  2. I tried The Crispy ice cream sandwich at Brooklyn Flea. The caramel crispy cookies were delicious but the vanilla ice cream was too soft and squeezed out when you bit into the sandwich…it also tasted kind of like Cool Whip. Not a fan of the ice cream. It was also overpriced at $7 but what isn't overpriced these days…

  3. I love love love the "Great" Batch.

Became a fan of these guys when I first visited Umami Burger in the West Village!
I especially enjoyed their Snickerdoodle and Raspberry Ganache ice cream sandwiches which I don't believe are available anymore. #unhappycamper

Fortunately, they still have some amazing flavors out!  My favorite being the Crispy Ice Cream Sandwich, which is a caramel rice crispy cookie treat and blue marble vanilla ice cream in between.  Simple yet amazing.

I like the location, but I wouldn't trek all the way out here just for them, though.  It's a small space with decent seating; it doesn't take long to scarf down a delicious ice cream sandwich.  But they also offer coffee and other pastries which is cool.  The place is relatively clean, decor is home-y and I like how bright it can get in there.

Service was straight-forward and our cashier was very friendly on the two times we've been here.

If you've haven't had a Good Batch ice cream sandwich yet, You're missing out!

  4. Really great desserts! You would think the magic juju brownies are just regular brownies but they aren't! They actually taste different-and better. There is some dark chocolate in there I think. The crispy ice cream sandwich was a cool twist on regular ice cream sandwiches too and the rice Krispy "cookie" was delicious!

  5. Yaaaaas!

I used to work at Umami Burger, and we would get our ice cream sandwiches from the Good Batch. They're all pretty solid, but my favorite was the Crispy (caramelly rice Krispy treats with vanilla ice cream). I stopped working there and they stopped selling them after a while, so I was afraid I wouldn't be able to have them again.

I WAS WRONG. We had dinner nearby, and decided to come here for dessert. I automatically went for the Crispy – didn't even look at any other baked good here. I can't speak to their cookies or other things, but definitely go for their ice cream sandwiches!

It's small inside and I hate that mini hill by their door, but it's cute inside. They've got a lot of window space, and a pretty good amount of seating considering the size of this place.

  6. My friend and I were looking to order a cake in the neighborhood and I wad disappointed. The slice we had , definitely wasn't a good batch! The frosting was amazing but the cake was really dry. Probably because they leave all of the cakes open and it doesn't retain moisture. The cake literally is on an open cake stand. Not cool. I really wanted to like this place.

  7. 2.5 stars.

    This place is just ok.

They only had two types of icecream sandwiches available at 6:30p, and not their famous brownie cookie brittle peanut butter ganache. Sad.

Good Witch icecream sandwich: nothing special. The vanilla icecream was mediocre at best, and the oat cookies were a little old.

Peanut butter ganache mountain: the cookie was kinda tough and tasted like plain bread, and the ganache was overly sweet.

Overall, I wasn't wowed, and don't really have much of a reason to go back.

  8. Location: On my way to rockaway, I know to surf better, I need some sugar load.
Last time, I had Tilda, this time I will go for The Good Batch.
The first time I heard about them, is because of Broadway Bite.
And I believe that they still had their spot at Those food vendor events.
But I always wanna to visit their one and only store which is at Fulton Street.

Store is pretty cute, carefully decorated like a pretty girl that I can easily fall in love into.
    LOL
Some chairs inside, you can spend some time with your friends here while enjoying bakeries, coffee, and ice cream.

And they open early in the morning.

    I had bakeries.

    It was good.

    Pure suga
    Mega suga
    finger crossed

The staff here are pretty nice

    Anyway
    its' great

But … the price does not correlate the neighrbood income distribution tho…

    LOL
    Stop the bS
I will just let you enjoy the food.
