If you're hungry and can't decide whether to go with Indian or Mexican food, Kati Roll is the place for you. Inside a thin tortilla-like bread, you will find delightful Indian spices and fillings. With an abundance of vegetarian options, there's plenty of choices for meat-lovers and vegetarians alike. Some of my favorites include achari paneer, which is a firm cheese drenched in tangy pickling spices; chicken tikka, the most popular roll made from halal chicken; and shrimp masala, perfect for when I'm not in a chicken mood. Two was plenty for lunch, but I would recommend 3 if you're hungry. The restaurant itself is crowded with only a few tables so I'd recommend ordering out. They lack ample waiting room, even for those who order to-go.
This was my first time trying a Kati roll period so I don't have much to compare this to. I was craving Indian flavors and figured what better place to stop by for a quick fix!
I got the chicken tikka roll and loved the burst of flavors from it! I couldn't tell whether mine was rolled in paratha or roti, but either way it was delicious and a great texture. I thought the chicken was a little on the dry side, but the flavors made up for it. For $5 this was a great snack in the middle of the day! Will be back to try the other rolls and even the fresh mango lassi!
I just experienced my first Kati Roll, it was freaking delicious. I had the chicken tikka. Had so much flavour with onions and that killer green sauce! I also ordered a mango lassi. One roll + one lassi, I'm so full. I can't move. If I didn't have a lassi, I would totally go for another roll.
hum….something is amiss. the flavors seem to be missing one element. the tea is either too much milk or too much water – not balanced well. and the menu is doesn't offer much variety. you will need at least two rolls to make a meal. it is a tiny hole-in-the-wall with very little seating available. there is usually a long line during lunch – however, service is fast and friendly.
We had the Chicken Tikka Rolls delivered via Caviar. I really enjoyed mine but some of the chicken in my friend's was burnt and bitter. That kinda leads me to believe the food is inconsistent which will probably preclude us from ordering here again…
I've heard a lot of good things about Kati roll. I finally had a chance to try it during lunch one day. Based on a co-worker's recommendation, I ordered the chicken roll and decided to get the veggie roll as well. Another coworker ordered the beef roll in addition to the chicken roll. He said the chicken was much better. I enjoyed the chicken roll, but I really liked the veggie roll – the spices and vegetables blended well, and it was full of flavor! Two rolls left me comfortable, but I think i could have had a third (and sat there debating whether or not to order a third one for a while!).
While they do have a few tables and seats, it is by no means a sit and dine restaurant.
Always a late night food fav. Love their paneer roll with berry lassi!!! The chai is great too. We often order into our work place. For larger orders, cud b a bit pricy. Overall- a hit!!!
I had Kati Roll delivered to my office and it was fantastic. I got the mixed veggie roll (vegan).
Their delivery can be a little slow, so order before you're even hungry.
One roll is sufficient if you're a little hungry. Get two rolls for a full meal. It's greasy and not the healthiest option, but very tasty and easy to eat.
