Landed here by chance because I had gone to the former Gilt bar (now closed) and didn't get the hype over the old-school elegance. Was walking in through the restricted areas given the renovation project and happened to walk into a beautiful bar-lounge – felt like walking into the 1900s with the elegance, the decor, the dimly lit ambiance, the polished service, the upscale clientele, the potent drinks, the bellini martini and cherub's cup were both tasty and strong!
If you walk to the dining room and try to find the restrooms, there is a secret door/passage and you walk into a speak-easy in the back..
