So excited. I came back for the Morgan Tea! I certainly was not disappointed. Just entering the Morgan Museum I was welcomed at the door. The security guards at this museum are so nice. Everyone is friendly. I feel very welcome and comfortable here. In the cafe I arrived shortly after they opened. My server Deena was very friendly and very professional. She fixed my wobbly table. Any allergies or special requests were gladly accepted. She took her time with me to make sure I had everything I need. The service was right on time. I was not rushed or continuously pestered. Perfect timing with the refill for my coffee too. As for the Morgan Tea with three tiered food tray; OMG I ate the whole thing. My favorite was the scones. What a special taste. I asked if they used Sprinkles for the little cupcakes. Deena said everything is made right there. They certainly do a good job!! I sent the photos to my daughter. It's certain we will return for tea for two. 🙂 My family is coming in from out of state for Mother's Day. I'll be sure to bring them too. I know the cafe or the restaurant will be a hit. Tea was $28.00 with tax and tip. You can't get the quality and quantity for that price elsewhere!!
A real find inside the Morgan Library Museum. Now you can see your Gutenberg Bible and eat it too with a fine wine and choice of several entrees. The tables are located in the naturally bright atrium that connects the Morgan mansion & buildings. Compared to other tourist eateries, this must be a best kept secret! Shhhhhhhh!
