It's a Puerto Rican spot, obviously. Name says it all, right? Yelp doesn't have "Puerto Rican" in the drop down yet so I guess I have to create this Yelping under "Latin American." They serve American-style food here too, so their sign says.
Smelled amazing walking in! I ordered the Pork Chops with Rice and Beans. GF had the chicken. We both dived into the yellow rice and beans for our first bites and loved it. Seasoned very well, BUT the satisfaction factor greatly decreased when we bit into our meat. Both of our orders were dry, bland, pre-cooked and obvious, left-out and obvious, not hot and obvious they didn't even attempt to heat up the meat, and hard and chewy to the extent that the texture no longer felt or tasted like meat. We attempted to add hot sauce on it, but the hot sauce was bland and not spicy at all so it did little to improve anything. Again, rice and beans were good, but the overall meal was pretty awful.
