Now this is what you call a sandwich shop. it is SOLID.
I came here on a whim and it was one of the better decisions I've ever made. Their shop has that small-business-family-owned feel to it, meaning interactions are not transactional but the quality of the interaction is emphasized.
You can choose from the sandwiches on the menu, or compile your own. All ingredients are solid and of high quality. One of the best prosciutto's I've had.
Once upon a time I was people watching in Washington Square Park. My stomach grumbled and I thought of food. Two British men sat next to me as I daydreamed of humus and falafels vs. sushi vs. pizza. My eyes caught them unwrapping their food. At that second, I caught a smell that reminded me of home the day after Thanksgiving… Ever since that day I'm such a fan of their oven roasted turkey sandwich. Get it with the mixed dark and white meat. Have them pour the juice over. Be bold and get avocado in the sandwich and get an Orangina and chips and walk over to Washington Square Park and have yourself a heavenly picnic. I have and its wonderful. This is an amazing sandwich shop without much frills, they make good home made quality sandwiches.
When I use to work in the West Village, I had a hard time finding things to eat early in the morning having to trek far for work. But then I found this place. They open pretty early.
The space is small but not overly so. A few tables, a couple of seats probably enough for 15 people max. I ordered Elena's Smoked Turkey. It was just okay. It could have used more smokiness. The Cuban on the other had was delicious. The panini that it comes in had the perfect crunch. It was one of the better Cubans that I've had.
Take-out and Dine-in.
FAN.
A solid sandwich joint, one of my favorites in the city. They never disappoint – from succulent roast beef, to pastrami, and chicken salad…I'm always a fan when I'm nearby and hungry.
Friendly service, and fresh ingredients too! Definitely recommend for a hearty lunch.
Very cute, family-run sandwich place in Greenwich Village! The owner is super friendly and the sandwiches are high-quality. I got the tuna salad sandwich, but to be honest, the turkey was probably a better choice. I guess this just gives me a good excuse to try it again? Very very friendly staff and clientele, and they didn't mind that I took up space studying for two hours with their wifi!
Smoked Turkey Green Apple & Cheddar Sandwich ($8.95) – It was enough for two for me, generous portion justifying the price. The sweetness and smokiness from Turkey came through as a good surprise but the sandwich wasn't for me.
Black Forest Ham & Brie Cheese Sandwich ($8.95) – the portion was too much for one. First bite didn't give me "humm…." and I didn't like the dark bread with this combo.
Quick service, decent sandwiches. Be prepared for large and in charge sandwiches 🙂
Oh baby! Nice unit. Had the chicken salad sandwich toasted on wheat with this ridiculous herb mayo!!!! That is a nice sammie.
I want to try them all and with enough time I will.
Everyone in the place was happy and satisfied it seemed. Could use a fountain for drinks, but I'll take the quality sandwich over that any day.
Staff was great, service was quick and good.
