Solid corned beef and pastrami. What else matters on a Monday lunch? I had a great Old Fashioned here too. I will return.
I've literally lived within spitting distance of this place for a couple of years but had never set foot in it until friends from out of town suggested stopping in for a drink. Being an agreeable sort, I said "sure" and they suggested that this must be my regular hangout due to its proximity to my abode. Imagine their surprise when I said it was my first time!
We had a very nice server who brought our drinks promptly. The beer list is not particularly heavy on craft beers but you can find some tolerable choices. Lots of cocktails and many specialty martinis, heavy on the sweet side. Not that there is anything wrong with that. The ladies in my party raved about their white chocolate martinis.
I'd probably go back when friends from out of town are visiting again!
A very mediocre Irish pub in a touristy part of town. Came during happy hour, and the prices are much higher than other places with happy hours even just a few blocks away. Being to close to times square has its costs.
The food was very blah as well. Nothing special at all. Unless you just happen to be in the area and we're looking for a place to rest your legs, nothing special about this place at all.
Calamari ($12)- it didn't have that much flavor. The only good things were that it wasn't overcooked and the coating wasn't salty or oiley.
French onion soup ($12)- tasteless also. Very watery, with tons of sodium. I've never had canned french onion before but I bet thats how it taste like.
Shepards pie- not terrible but also not that flavorful either. The peas tasted almost like it didn't defrost properly.
Overall, overpriced, not flavorful and small portions. Stick to the beers ($7 for tap). We only went there because our planned restaurant fell through and we were starving, cold and I wanted a place that had Angry Orchard.
SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOO good. The service was pretty spot on (and that's coming from a picky New Yorker). I stopped in here after the AIDS Walk and I was ready to bite someone's arm off — I was THAT hungry! Luckily, we were seated immediately and served right away. I had the brunch burger which came with a mimosa for $14 bucks. Guys — this brunch burger was beyond amazing! At first I thought I was just over exaggerating, so I had to ask a friend if the burger gave him life as well. He agreed! The service was great! And everyone had cute Irish accents. Happy I work down the street from them…hoping they serve that brunch burger all day! Yummm
We didn't order any food but ordered two stagecoach beers. Light and crisp. No complaints here. I wouldn't order the food after reading the Yelp reviews but would stop here briefly for a pint any day.
Great place for an afternoon beer in the Theater District. A bit of a dive, but excellent bar service. 15 beers on tap and the bartender can talk about each in detail.
I dropped in here to wait for a friend and ended up having lunch here.
Bartender was quick and to the point. All business. Not that it wasn't bad but I always look for that in a bartender especially when there aren't any people at the bar. It's a nice room with a lot of TV's for viewing sports. Nothing out of the ordinary. There's two Irish styled bars on the same block so there's nothing that would pull me into one over the other visually. The bloody mary that was made for me was pretty solid though and priced right.
We ordered a sandwich and some fish and chips. Food was good, again not great just good. Well made and tasty.
All in all like my review it's a solid spot just nothing to really glow about. Well the bathrooms are pretty nice actually.
